We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Sales Engineer to join our Business Development team. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and factory operations to drive business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue custom product opportunities beyond standard catalog offerings
- Leverage our company's core expertise in precision tooling, plastic injection moulding, and connector solutions
- Lead the RFQ process from submission through to he first billing milestone
- Coordinate closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners during the pre-production phase
- Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotations for custom solutions
- Support audits, documentation requirements, and production readiness activities
- Drive revence growth through strategies business development and strong client engagement
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure seamless handover for manufacturability
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline
- 1-3 years experience in technical sales, project coordination, or product development
- Engineering knowledge or a strong technical background will be an added advantage

Job DescriptionPurpose of the Job:
Execute the sales delivery in the designated end market sector to meet sales forecasts and KPI’s.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
Sales Strategy and Delivery:
- Delivery of sales against agreed targets (directly or working with distributors)
- Use value added selling techniques to maximise sales opportunities
- Direct customer ownership and sales activity to deliver.
- Customer penetration

- End to end sales delivery across product portfolio
- Provide technical solutions and advice to customers
- Manage individual territories and accounts

- New product introduction, campaign and event management where required
- Demonstrate Rotork products and provide familiarisation training as needed to build internal and external knowledge and understanding of Rotork products
- Lead self to deliver against Rotork vision and strategy
- Driving change and growth with the right balance of entrepreneurial decision making and good corporate citizenship; ensuring decisions are made for One Rotork at all times
Budget Management:
- Fulfil reporting responsibilities, including performance and sales plans, forecasting and other KPIs
Project Pipeline and Project Oversight:
- Review project scope for products to be added onto Approved Vendor Lists and project specifications
Internal Collaboration:
- Work effectively through a matrix structure to build and maintain strong andproductive internal relationships
- Adhere to governance tools and processes
- Feed business intelligence into Commercial function as required
- Degree or recognised qualification in Engineering
- Good command of English, (both spoken and written)
- Sales experience in manufacturing (industrial engineering ideal) and accompanying proven track record of success, likely to be gained from 4+ years in a similar role
- Knowledge and experience of sales techniques
- Demonstrates strong business acumen
- Collaborative working across a variety of business units, challenging siloed thinking wherever it appears
- Charismatic and inspiring personality with strong entrepreneurial flair and business acumen; passion for business growth.
