Lead the technical, tactical, and developmental strategy across both Men’s and Women’s Senior teams and the Under-23/21 development squads. You will own performance outcomes at the senior level and forge a robust talent pipeline to secure international success. Reporting to the Programme Director, you will also oversee 2 Development Squad Coaches and 2 Assistant Coaches.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Senior National Team Performance (Men & Women)
- Design and implement training programs and tournament cycles aligned with FIBA ranking periods and major events like the World Cup, Olympic Qualifiers and SEA Games
- Lead all aspects of game preparation, in-game coaching, opponent scouting, and performance analysis
- Ensure athlete readiness, i.e. tactically astute, physically conditioned, and mentally focused, for podium-level competition
2. Youth Team Development (U23 & U21)
- Establish and maintain a structured 3x3 development pathway, aligned with Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and elite progression framework
- Mentor and manage youth Coaches to uphold consistency in technical standards and support seamless progression to the senior teams
- Monitor and evaluate younger players for advancement into the national senior program
3. High Performance Training Environment
- Create 3x3-specific training plans emphasizing pace, spacing and physical demands of the format
- Collaborate closely with strength & conditioning, sport science, medical and recovery teams to support peak period preparation
4. Staff & Team Leadership
- Recruit, supervise, and mentor Assistant Coaches and support staff across all squads
- Lead technical meetings, post-match analysis and data-driven performance debriefs
5. Competition Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage a calendar of international tournaments, training camps and qualifiers for all age groups
- Lead scouting and tactical game preparation for significant competitions
6. Talent Identification & Integration
- Develop national scouting system via school, academy and club partnerships and manage regular trials
- Monitor and evaluate player development through analytics, video review, and performance benchmarking
7. Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
- Maintain consistent communication with federation leadership, high-performance units, and selectors
- Act as the national team representative at media events, stakeholder briefings and FIBA forums as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of elite level 3x3 coaching experience
- National Sport Association, FIBA, or SportSG endorsed basketball coaching certification or equivalent high-performance (e.g. Level 3) credentials preferred
- Proven ability to design structured training plans customed to the 3x3 format
- Deep understanding of 3x3 tactics, rules, conditioning, and rotation systems
- Track record coaching teams or athletes at top-tier events (e.g., FIBA 3x3 World Tour, Asia Cup)
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, fluent in English
- Willingness to undergo performance-based evaluations and commit to flexible scheduling, including international travel
- Professional qualification in Sports Science, Sports Management, or a related field

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in all check-in and check-out process of all trainings and fitness tests.

- Assist in emergency response procedure in times of need, including activating ambulance, perform CPR, operate AED
- Perform after-use check on all equipment at the test center to ensure the usability
- Write incident reports, including injuries, test violations and any other occurrences of out-of-ordinary situations.

MUST HAVE

Completed Fitness Instructor Course (FIC) accredited by SportSG, or

- You will work together with a team of coaches to plan and implement the training and competition plans for the athletes. You will conduct regular discussions with the athletes on their progress and goals and evaluate the plans for improvement.

You will work with the Technical Team and coaches to identify and recruit suitable athletes, and develop them towards eventual national team representation.
