Key Responsibilities:

JOB SCOPE

• Welcoming patients, updating their medical history, and explaining the procedures.
• Preparing patients for dental procedures, positioning them correctly, and providing comfort.
• Providing instructions for aftercare and answering any follow-up questions.
• Ensuring all instruments are sterilized and the treatment area is sanitized.
• Handing tools to the dentist during treatments, suctioning fluids, and keeping the area dry and clean.
• Operating radiographic equipment to capture images of teeth and bones.
• Mixing dental materials (such as fillings, molds, etc.) and preparing the dental chair and equipment for procedures.
• Managing patient appointments and coordinating the dentist’s calendar.
• Updating and maintaining patient files, including medical history, treatment plans, and billing information.
• Assisting with patient billing, insurance claims, and other administrative paperwork.
• Educating patients on how to properly care for their teeth and gums, especially after procedures like cleanings, fillings, or extractions.
• Providing information on how to manage pain, swelling, and other concerns following procedures.
• Providing immediate care and assistance for patients experiencing dental emergencies, such as toothaches, broken teeth, or accidents.

REQUIREMENT

• At least Nitec / Diploma in any field of study.
• Some healthcare experience will be an added advantage.
