Veterinary Nurse – Emergency & Critical Care (“ECC”)
No proper emergency centre can operate without an awesome team. You will be working with Critical Care Specialists and Nurses, as well as collaborating with other teams.
The position will involve triaging emergencies and assisting with emergency procedures, anaesthetic monitoring, lab work, day and overnight hospitalisation (intensive) care and reception work. Full-time hours will include day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays on a rotational roster. Shifts are mostly 12 hours, allowing more days off per week.
What Do You Have
• At least 2 years of veterinary nursing experience, with animal handling skills
• Emergency experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
• Willingness to learn, with a strong work ethic and a team-player
• Compassion and willingness to put patient care first
• Brilliant client communication skills, both written and spoken

- Assisting in the packing of medication, stock taking, answering telephone queries (booking of appointments), and replying emails.
- Front Reception duties such as admission and discharging of patients, explaining the medication, collecting payment using NETS, cash register, Paynow or similar.
- No formal certification/experience or education required as there will be ON THE JOB training.
