The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is a unique department at NTU Singapore, advancing cutting-edge education and research in diverse areas of chemistry, chemical engineering, bio(medical)engineering, biotechnology, and other relevant multidisciplinary fields. CCEB invites applications for the area of Sustainability Engineering at the Assistant Professor level. Possible areas include but are not limited to data driven energy system modelling, carbon economics, logistics and supply chain management, and/or techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment, particularly in the context of sustainability and circularity.
We are open to expanding these areas as well as entering new fields. Applicants should hold a Ph.D in a related science or engineering field by the beginning of employment and should have demonstrated experience in the related research. Preference will be given to individuals with foundational training in chemical engineering or closely related disciplines. Under special circumstances, an untenured associate or senior faculty appointment is possible, commensurate with experience. Faculty duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the related subjects and developing course materials, conducting original scholarly research, as well as advising, supervising, training, and mentoring students and junior researchers. What You’ll Do:
As part of AcuTech’s Singapore team, you will work directly with clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management in Singapore and Asia. Successful candidates will proactively apply engineering and problem-solving skills to meet challenging safety and business objectives while seeking out leadership and growth opportunities. Candidates must have high technical acumen, be self-motivated, independent, organized, able to work effectively under direction of senior engineers, and handle multiple work assignments and projects.
What’s Required:
- 8 to 15+ years’ experience in process safety, process safety management, health, safety and environment (HSE), or related experience in process or engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment.
- BS/MS in related engineering field (chemical, process safety or relevant discipline) or associated science degree.
- Ability to develop consulting business, including developing proposals and making presentations.
- Self-motivated, independent, strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and client service.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills with a consultative approach in supporting customer projects.
What’s Preferred:

Chemical Engineering Technician (Operations)
Location: Tuas (Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate travel to work by themselves)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm; Saturday: 8am to 12pm/Shift Work
Basic salary: $,000 – $2 700 (Entitled to overtime / shift work allowances), Gross salary: 3,100 - 4,000
Requirements:
- NTC/Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or Chemistry
- At least 1-year relevant experience
- Able to do overtime / shift work
- Forklift license an added advantage
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Supervisor in monitoring, troubleshooting and ensuring smooth operation of the process plant.
- To ensure a smooth start up and shutdown of the process plant.
- To monitor and feedback any abnormal function of plant utilities and machineries to Shift Supervisor for rectification.
- To guide and lead a team of Operators in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting activities
