Position Overview
Micron Singapore is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical and Gas Senior Engineer – Construction to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, specification, installation, commissioning, and optimization of high-purity chemical and gas delivery systems in semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This role ensures safe handling, efficient distribution, and compliance with all relevant codes and safety regulations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Design & Engineering
- Design chemical, slurry, and gas delivery systems, including storage, distribution piping, process integration, and effluent scrubber units, ensuring stringent purity and safety requirements for semiconductor fabrication.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications for all chemical and gas systems.
- Perform flow, pressure, and compatibility calculations to optimize system efficiency.
- Specify critical components and ensure designs meet all applicable codes and regulations (NFPA, FM, UBC, UFC, UMC, IBC, IMC, IFC, NEC, SEMI, OSHA, NEA).
- Conduct research and development on emerging facilities and technologies to support advanced semiconductor processes.
- Construction Support & Installation Oversight
- Provide technical expertise during construction, guiding contractors on proper installation of chemical and gas systems.
- Review and approve construction submittals, shop drawings, and contractor work plans.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure installations meet design and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and suppliers for timely and compliant delivery of materials.
- Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all systems comply with relevant codes, industry standards, and regulations.
- Develop and implement safety protocols, including emergency shutdown procedures, leak detection, and hazardous material storage.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and participate in FMEA and HAZOP reviews.
- Engineer safety into all designs and maintain good communication with all stakeholders.
- Testing, Commissioning & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee testing and commissioning of chemical and gas systems, including pressure tests, leak checks, and calibration.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for system startup issues and ensure systems function according to design.
- Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, as-built drawings, and operation manuals.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in system efficiency, safety, and cost optimization.
- Vendor & Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure proper specification and delivery of materials.
- Review and approve vendor documentation, including SDS and equipment warranties.
- Conduct vendor audits and assessments for quality and safety compliance.
- Training & Documentation
- Develop and deliver training for operations and maintenance personnel on safe handling and procedures for chemicals and gases.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response plans.
- Ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of system requirements and operational guidelines.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in chemical/gas system design and engineering, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech industries.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of chemical and gas delivery systems, safety standards, proficiency in CAD and process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen), excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Other: Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize workload, and collaborate in a team environment. Service-oriented and self-motivated.
- Office and on-site work at construction sites; occasional travel for FAT and Vendor qualification may be required.

We are looking for a Fragrance Developer to join our Fragrance Consumer Products Evaluation team in Singapore , supporting Fabric Care categories across Southeast Asia . The level of the position (Evaluator, Senior Evaluator or Creative Fragrance Manager) will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and seniority.
About the Role
As a Fragrance Developer, you will be an olfactive development expert, guiding Perfumers in the fragrance creation process and contributing to the strategic development of fragrances and new technologies that resonate with consumers. You will partner closely with Account Managers, Perfumers, Marketing, Consumer Market Research, Technology and Lab teams to shape fragrance strategies and deliver winning solutions for both customer briefs and proactive initiatives.
You will report to the Creative Fragrance Director and/or Senior Creative Fragrance Manager, Fabric Care and will play a key role in:
- Defining and executing fragrance development strategies and creative processes.
- Leading the olfactive vision and fragrance strategy for your assigned customers and for the upstream Category proactive work.
- Managing multiple complex briefs and developing/selecting fragrances aligned with project goals.
- Translating Consumer Market Insight (CMI) data into actionable olfactory guidelines for Perfumers.
- Working with the Technology team, Creation and Application Laboratories on fragrance and technology stability testing and product troubleshooting.
- Liaising with other regional creative centers to coordinate and complete global project assignments.
- Driving and supporting cross-regional project teams when relevant.
- Partnering with commercial teams to understand and align with business objectives.
- Monitoring market trends and identifying olfactive white spaces with the Marketing team.
- Conducting olfactory analyses of new launches to fuel future fragrance development.

What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years to 10 years of experience in fragrance evaluation, ideally across multiple categories and geographies, ideally with strong exposure to Fabric Care .
- Strong olfactory expertise , paired with functional knowledge of fragrance development processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously.
- Experience managing complex projects and working with global or regional accounts.
- Good technical knowledge of fragrance behavior in various Fabric Care applications (stability, base interactions, compliance).
- A proactive, creative mindset with the ability to drive innovation and anticipate market preferences.
- Good communication and presentation skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate consumer data into meaningful fragrance directions.
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working in multicultural, cross-functional environments .

- Carry out independent design of active and passive fire protection systems and prepare Hazardous/H2S Area Classification documentation, safety and fire fighting layouts, escape route and life-saving equipment layouts, and other safety drawings
- Carry out safety critical elements performance standards, RAM, fire and gas detection mapping, etc., based on project requirements
- Act as Package Engineer for safety and fire fighting equipment
- Manage and guide Junior/ Senior Engineers and Designers on Concept/FEED/Detailed Engineering projects
- Provide health and environmental inputs (including health risk assessments such as chemical exposure, noise and lighting, ergonomics/Human Factors Engineering, environmental impact assessments, etc.) to projects
- Interface/coordinate with other Engineering disciplines and clients, and take the lead in resolving technical matters related to safety aspects
- Able to deliver project safety deliverables as per project schedule
- Provide inputs and support to projects in all safety aspects, including progress reports
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
- Minimum of 15 years of HSE engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry, in process safety/technical safety, and has worked a minimum of 4-5 years in a Lead position on similar projects
- Involved in design projects for offshore (FPSO/Platforms) and onshore (Refineries, LNG facilities, Storage terminals, etc.)
- Should have worked on a minimum number of offshore projects (FPSO/Platforms)
- Possess good knowledge of Oil and Gas process facilities, local and international process safety codes and standards, and regulatory/marine codes and standards (MODU, SOLAS, DNV/Lloyds Register)
- Should have hands-on experience in plot plan review, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL classification/verification, and other safety reviews (e.g., SIMOPS, ALARP)
- Good working knowledge of PIPENET Vision, Flaresim, and other consequence modeling software such as DNV PHAST, etc., is needed
- Ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes
- A team player with leadership potential and proactive inter-discipline communication skills
