Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with R&D project teams to translate process development objectives into laboratory-scale studies.

  • Plan material requirements and coordinate logistics for laboratory and pilot studies.

  • Collaborate with Pilot Plant teams to establish recipes, equipment configurations, and analytical methods.

Minimum Qualifications

  • M.S. with > 5 years or Ph.D. with >3 years of technical or research experience
  • Experience in Data Center industry
  • Self-starter with great initiative and drive
  • Ability to deliver complex information in an easy-to-understand format
  • Creative problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in liquid cooling, close loop cooling, or thermal system design
  • Chemistry understanding and experience
  • Project management skill and experience

Job Description

Micron’s NAND Process Development (PD) Singapore group is looking for process development engineer to support TD activities associated with rapid deployment of technology nodes, the process margin improvement work necessitated thereof as well as to ensure extended engagement with manufacturing on the upcoming technology nodes.

Responsibilities

  • Process module ownership involving Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) process characterization and advanced process development for 3D NAND and beyond.
  • Work with process development engineers in Singapore and Boise, US TD site and vendors to develop processes that meet integration requirements for next-generation 3-D NAND nodes.
  • Transfer CMP processes to high volume manufacturing (Fab10N), and work on continuous improvements to manufacturability.
  • Address process issues working with Fab10N team and with key business partners on tool choices for manufacturing, evaluations etc., as applicable.
  • Focus on understanding and improving the process margins required for meeting the mature yield goal for 3D NAND parts.
  • Advanced 3D NAND CMP process development will include performing fundamental research, consumables development, and hardware evaluation, as well as testing processes for novel applications.
  • Initiate and manage experiments to widen process margins as well as to test out manufacturability of next node solutions
  • Identify process simplification opportunities and drive cross functional teams in implementation
  • Incorporate best known manufacturing methods into early development phase of upcoming nodes.
  • Design and implement advanced process monitoring and control methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or Physics with minimum 5 years hands-on experience in leading edge CMP polishing equipment.
  • Lead and mentor CMP junior engineers while driving technical excellence.
  • Build, lead, grow a capable CMP team for NAND technology development.
  • Master in CMP equipment operation, optical metrology, profilometry, polishing slurries, conditioners, and polishing pads.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical decision making.
  • In-depth understanding of polishing mechanisms for dielectric and metal CMP.
  • Understanding of various integration and structural impacts and constraints related to film deposition processes.
  • An understanding of the general process steps and process flow for memory processing, planar and vertical NAND memory in particular.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis systems e.g.: Y3 to facilitate analysis of experimental data
  • Working knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE)
  • Proven ability to collaborate with local and overseas teams on projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to convey the message in concise and effective manner both in local as well as remote communications.

Jobscope:

This role is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and availability of electrical systems, installations, and power networks up to 66kV within the company site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Electrical Systems Maintenance & Operations: (i) Oversee the design, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical installations, including substations, GIS, transformers, UPS, generators, motors, and control systems.
    (ii) Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and system programming/modifications.
    (iii) Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Technical Assistance & Support: Provide expertise in E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) maintenance and system enhancements. Conduct electrical safety training and identify cost-saving and safety improvements.
    Assist in production troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Project Management & Cost Estimation: Lead the planning, design, budgeting, construction, and startup of electrical, automation, and instrumentation projects.
  • Electrical Expertise & Best Practices: Serve as the focal point for electrical issues, staying updated on industry trends and implementing best practices.
  • On-Call Duties: Regularly take on scheduled E&I on-call responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Process Controls or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in electrical engineering activities in the chemical or petrochemical industry
  • Extensive knowledge of the current Siemens GIS and SCS
  • Good communication skills and adaptive to cultural differences
  • Ability to work with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, and environmental concerns
  • Usage and understanding of technical drawings such as P&ID’s, electrical and instrument drawings and equipment manuals is a requirement for this position
  • Willingness and ability to attend internal and external trainings, if necessary abroad
  • This position requires a responsibility to assist with the production of the site which are in 24/7/365 operations and is therefore required to be on-call
  • Willing to work in Jurong Island

The Opportunity

We are looking for a professional who will play a key role in shaping our water projects and expanding opportunities within India. This will initially be focused on process engineering, design and planning in water/used water infrastructure projects, but with opportunities to expand into several different focus areas.

Technical input will range from advising clients on strategy and policy to design input for masterplans, feasibility studies, concept design as well as detailed design and implementation.Local knowledge is key, but also the ability to work with teams across the UKIMEA and support projects across this region is extremely beneficial.

The professional should be keen on developing the local and regional business; working on our current projects and with the UKIMEA in delivery of other existing frameworks across the region, such as the Environment Agency. This will include technical support, and project and people management to understand the scale of the potential and seeking out and driving future opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of processengineering on projects. Lead development of process design process deliverables such as process models, mass balances, hydraulic calculations, technical data sheets and pump calculations etc.). Undertake process design of Water and Used Water Treatment Plants and water systems.

Analyse site performance and identify risks that may impact project delivery. Develop mitigation to avoid negative impacts or exploit opportunities. Challenge the process selection and delivery effectiveness of initial solutions to ensure we always offer our clients the best value solutions.

Identify opportunities for innovation to meet whole-life cost and net-zero drivers. Working closely with the supply chain and performing technical bid analysis of their designs. Oversee key outputs including process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump calculations, capacity calculations, data sheets and technical bid analysis of 3rd party process equipment.

Supervising and mentoring our Graduates and Engineers assisting them to develop their knowledge and skills. Positively engage with the client, managing relationships and adopting a OneArup approach to supporting them in achieving their aims. Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions and integration within the existing systems.Experience preparing and submitting tenders and bids and highlighting opportunities with good commercial awareness and management of project teams.

Communicate effectively at all relevant levels to ensure that the need to deliver technical excellence is understood and implemented. Escalate issues that may impact on time/cost/quality before they become problems or exceed agreed timescales. Support the drive towards excellence in Health & Safety, demonstrating applied knowledge and skills to produce safe designs to discharge your obligation according to Country/State Regulations, standards, and accepted codes of practice and maintaining close links with other Engineering teams to ensure smooth interfaces between disciplines; manage gaps/overlaps & share best practice.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil / environmental engineering/ chemical engineering from accredited university with good relevant work experience (10-15 years) (Master’s degree preferred) with strong knowledge of water and used water treatment processes and technologies.
  • Experienced in process design for water and wastewater systems, incorporating advanced treatment technologies such as MBR, MBBR, IFAS for used water, and EDI, DM Plant, Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration, and Zero Liquid Discharge systems with hands-on experience with wastewater modelling software, including SUMO and BIOWIN
  • Expertise in desalination systems would be an additional merit and of working on Indian projects with Govt and Private Client
  • Experience of working in GIDs/GDCs with countries such as Middle Eastern, Australia, Singapore, UK and US are highly preferred with familiarity with relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements with Exposure to Indian and International projects would be added advantage
  • Ability to work in on one's own with lead office and teams as part of integrated team and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Proficient in delivering results within short timeframes, prioritising tasks and managing your time efficiently.
  • Chartered member of professional institution e.g. ICE, IMechE, CIWEM etc, or equivalent experiencewould be added advantage. Experience of developing and leading a team, direct client facing for project delivery and business development purposes is mandatory with self-motivated with keen interest to learn new skills and add value to the team/organization
