**Job Description**
**Position Summary:**
Reporting to the QC Manager Chemistry, the role is responsible for writing laboratory procedures, transfer/verification/validation of methodology, and project work within the department to support manufacture and release of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates and products. The role contributes to building and maintaining QC lab cGMP system, delivers analytical solution to clients through specific method qualification and validation strategies while ensuring timely delivery for projects. The role will include performing testing for incoming materials, in-process products and DS testing, etc.
**Responsibilities:**
+ To support new equipment qualification, lab computerized system and chemistry lab set up
+ To perform transfer/verification/validation of laboratory procedures within the team where required
+ To prepare technical documentation including but not limited to protocols, analytical write-ups, standard operating procedures, specifications, investigations and reports.
+ To perform analysis of incoming goods, intermediates and/or finished products (including HPLC and GC) under cGMP conditions for QC release or as part of stability studies.
+ To review analytical and laboratory data within the department for accuracy, completeness and compliance with documented procedures.
+ To perform planned preventative maintenance and performance calibrations on equipment.
+ Management of QC chemical, reference standard and consumable stock levels
+ To maintain own training records
+ To communicate optimally with others on site
+ Participate/contribute in Practical Process Improvement initiatives (PPI) or continuous improvement in the lab
+ Support and encourage a "Quality Culture" and company 4i values throughout QC
+ Ensure cGMP is applied in their area of work and align with cGMP in all areas of the business.
+ To work with HSE, cGMP and 5S in mind at all times.
+ Undertake ad-hoc activities that may be required by the business
+ To support shift work (if necessary) in future
**EH&S:**
+ Understand emergency procedures and align with safe systems of work.
+ Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety and security policies and procedures, rules, signage and instructions at all times
+ Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules
**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:**
+ Degree in Chemistry or strongly related scientific field
+ At least 2 years relevant industrial experience
+ Ability to apply GMP regulations and other international guidelines to all aspects of the position.
+ Ability to work independently and adhere to critical timelines
+ Excellent attention to detail

What the role is
MPA's Marine Environment and Safety Department (MES) strives to ensure MPA Port Regulations and Acts on marine safety and environmental protection are enforced effectively so as to safeguard and promote Singapore's status as a global hub port. As a world leading transhipment hub, every year millions of containers (which include Dangerous Goods) are shipped through the Port of Singapore.
Reporting to the Marine Safety and Port Operations Division (MSPO), you will be part of a dynamic team that looks at the formulating policies and management processes to develop and ensure that Dangerous Goods (DG) are safely transported through sea transportation in accordance to the International Maritime Organisation's (IMO) requirements. In addition, you will also assist in other port safety related matters.
What you will be working on
As part of the team, you are will be tasked with:
- Ensure Dangerous Goods (DG) compliance and conduct inspections on-board vessels at various cargo terminals;
- Conduct of remote surveillance/inspection using UAV/technologies for enhanced capabilities and efficiency;
- Conduct gas-free inspection to ensure vessels are free from flammable vapours before entry into shipyards;
- Provide technical advice during emergency/incident involving chemical/oil in port; Use of technology to monitor and assess the situation during chemical/oil spills in port;
- Participate in ad-hoc workstreams on the development and improving existing processes/systems to support MPA's mission;
- Participate and contribute in inter-agency and IMO committees/working groups on development of policies and IMO instruments
What we are looking for
Candidates with good knowledge in Science (Chemistry) and marine operations and ship structure as well as familiarity with Workplace Safety and Health practices in maritime industries, or well versed with emergency response on chemical/oil spills, will have an added advantage.

Job Purpose
The Etch (Senior) Process Engineer develops plasma etch processes for MEMS/CIS/Power Devices/Advanced Packaging and/or memory/logic etch applications in support of our sales activities to customers, during installation and after service care. Their main duties include process testing and monitoring of the equipment, updating current system processes and conducting assessments of the working condition of our tools.
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop new plasma etch processes for above mentioned semiconductor industry segments with strong focus on polysilicon and nitride or metal etch . 
- Work with customer to maintain & optimize current plasma etch processes, including coordinating and conducting etch process development 
- Qualify etch processes in installed base 
- Work with engineering and product group for continuous improvement project 
- Participate in customer meetings, escalations and resolve customer problems in a timely manner 
- Troubleshoot process issues 
- Keep field operations and management team informed of customer's evaluation and perception of system performance 
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced process engineers and/or customer 
- Any other ad-hoc duties / projects as assigned by Manager 
Education & Experience
- Min. Degree in Engineering or related engineering fields
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in process engineering (sustenance or development) in a wafer fab or etch equipment vendor position, preferably with at least 2-3 years experience on Etch process/equipment
- Prior field process support or development experience in Inductively Coupled Plasma(ICP) etcher is a must
- Technical knowledge of d eep Silicon etch using Bosch process on Through Silicon Via(TSV), plasma dicing or deep trench applications is advantageous
- Some experience in Capacitively Coupled Plasma(CCP) etcher will be bonus
Essential Attributes
- Independent and willing to accept challenges
- Willing to travel both regionally and internationally to support overseas installed base
- Flexibility to work on shift/ overtime/ stand-by/ on-call/ holidays when required
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin as counterparts are mostly Chinese speaking
