The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Evaluating applications and licensing telecommunications services, including advising applicants on licences to apply for and licensing requirements;
- Reviewing and implementing licensing and regulatory frameworks, policies and schemes to ensure that these continue to remain relevant and effective, amidst market and technological developments;
- Reviewing and streamlining licensing processes to improve customer experience, pro-enterprise orientation for businesses and efficiency;
- Formulating/Reviewing SOPs to ensure that processes are consistent across licensing schemes, and addressing any gaps/issues in processes and licensing systems
- Responding to public/licensee queries relating to telecommunications licensing
Requirements:
- Background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Engineering (Telecommunications) or equivalent with at least 3 or more years of relevant work experience with a supervisory role preferred.
- Good knowledge of emerging technologies and their business/economic impact. Prior working experience in the telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively and engage with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Good writing, communications, and presentation skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
