About the Role
: 
FMAS is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking
Marketing & Communications Manager
to lead our marketing, branding, and communications efforts. You will play a central role in shaping the public profile of FMAS, amplifying the impact of our projects, and strengthening engagement with members, stakeholders, and the wider community. 
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both strategic planning and hands-on execution, with a passion for community development, digital storytelling, and building meaningful connections.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Branding
- Lead FMAS's overall marketing, branding, and communications strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns for FMAS's programmes, events, and initiatives.
- Position FMAS as a trusted thought leader and key voice for heartland merchants and hawkers.
Digital & Content Strategy
- Manage FMAS's digital presence (website, social media, e-newsletters), ensuring timely, engaging, and impactful content.
- Plan and oversee content calendars, campaigns, and performance analytics.
- Create compelling digital assets, videos, and visuals using platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support member associations under Shared Secretariat Services with tailored communications and social media content.
Stakeholder Engagement & Media Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, partners, and stakeholders.
- Craft press releases, speeches, and marketing collaterals to support FMAS's advocacy and outreach.
- Drive sponsorship marketing and brand-partnership activations in collaboration with the project teams.
Project Management
- Define project scope, set objectives, allocate resources, and manage budgets effectively.
- Develop and track project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Liaise with vendors, agencies, and partners to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on campaign effectiveness, introducing improvements where needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support precinct upgrading and business development projects with branding and communications expertise.
- Contribute to membership growth, fundraising campaigns, and sponsorship outreach.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Management Committee.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related discipline.
- At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in marketing, branding, or communications.
- Strong command of English (written and verbal); proficiency in Mandarin or other languages is an advantage.
- Proven track record in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management.
- Strong project management skills with experience in budgeting and vendor management.
- Knowledge of trade associations, SMEs, or community-based organizations preferred.
- Creative, resourceful, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
