As Presales Engineer , you assist in technical presales meetings, develop POCs and present our products and capabilities during trade fares, webinars, and customer meetings.
You listen, answer, and provide input to the roadmap to steer where our state-of-the-art products evolve.
This is a permanent hybrid role open to candidates based in Singapore .
- Provide on-site technical consultancy and software development as part of a long-term secondment at the customer’s location, ensuring tailored solutions, seamless integration, and sustained project success.
- Assisting sales in prospect meetings: You prepare, together with the relevant account manager, a prospect meeting. You analyse the prospect’s requirements and map this to the Hexagon product portfolios. You guide the customer to make the right decision by proposing the solutions that match his requirements. You explain the products, answer questions, and provide demonstrations, during on-site and remote meetings.
- Assisting marketing and sales during trade shows: You showcase our capabilities with enthusiasm at various trade fairs throughout the region. You listen to and inquire about the prospect’s interest in Hexagon technology. You give live demonstrations and explain how they apply to the visitor’s requirements.
- Helping prospects reach a successful evaluation of Hexagon technology. You answer questions in collaboration with product support. You guide the prospect during his/her evaluation of Hexagon technology.
- Creating high quality supporting product material as input to the sales and marketing team. You create compelling documents, screenshots, movies, and demonstrations that highlight the core strengths of the Hexagon technology. In doing so you strive for high (visual) quality and put a focus on storytelling and messages that stick.
- You study the competition, gather customer requirements, and analyse market trends to provide input to the technology roadmap.
- Tertiary level qualification in Software Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with server/cloud application platforms, database setup and configuration, web technologies. Some development (JavaScript knowledge is a plus)
- Experience and interest in geospatial data analysis and/or image analysis is a plus
- Good computer literacy skills including MS Office suite(Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong technical knowledge and creative development capabilities in Java, JavaScript or C++ Good presentation and training skills.
- Strong understanding and genuine interest technology with eagerness to learn more.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills (via phone, email and in person); strength with both written and verbal communication, as well as active listening skills. Able to translate technical requirements to non-technical individual and vice versa.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders with varying levels of seniority and technical understanding.
- Strong customer focus and good relationship management skills.
- Organised with excellent time management skills, able to work to deadlines
