You will be responsible for:
Converting signal processing concepts (theory or prototypes in MATLAB or C-Language) into algorithms to be implemented in embedded DSP or ARM processors.
Understanding DSP hardware structures such as memory management and processor pipelines.
DSP software development and validation, including requirements analysis for algorithm implementation, support for patent applications, and support for internal or external customers development.
You will work closely with members of the Audio Research team to evaluate and benchmark cutting-edge proprietary speech/hearing algorithms developed in-house that will be implemented across a range of our customers' high-volume audio product lines.
Job Description:
Design, document and implement DSP audio software modules according to specified requirements of the DSP architecture
Develop novel DSP based algorithms for embedded audio systems
Collaborate with research team members and participate in research activities for speech/hearing algorithm implementation
Work with sales/engineering teams in productization, verification, testing and patent application of newly developed algorithms
Conduct design and code reviews with development team members
Perform defect analysis and eliminate defects in developed solutions
Adhere to the software development process defined for the development team
Enhance or update existing software algorithms or effective algorithm feature improvements as needed
Work well with company partners and vendors
Job Requirements:
At least an engineering degree with exposure to signal processing applications
Preferably 5 years of experience in embedded real-time firmware development with an emphasis on computational complexity
Candidates with DSP development and implementation experience (focus on audio implementation) will be preferred
Proficient in C/C++ and Shell scripting

We are seeking an FPGA/DSP Engineer to join our R&D team. You will play a vital role in developing innovative communication measurement instruments by designing and implementing complex DSP algorithms on FPGA hardware, while considering high-speed digital interfaces and radio frequency (RF) principles. Your tasks
- Analyze requirements and define DSP algorithms, optimizing for real-time performance on FPGA hardware for radio communication measurement instruments.
- Design and implement efficient DSP algorithms for FPGA implementation, considering high-speed and RF interface constraints and adhering to hardware schematics and interface protocols.
- Simulate and verify DSP algorithms using software tools (e.g., MATLAB).
- Translate DSP algorithms into VHDL code for FPGA implementation.
- Perform FPGA design synthesis, routing, and timing closure.
- Integrate FPGA designs with software and hardware components, including RF interfaces, and ensure signal integrity.
- Conduct hardware testing and debug FPGA designs, troubleshooting complex hardware and interface issues.
- Document design concepts, algorithms, and test procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, collaborate effectively across functions, and consistently meet deadlines to contribute to successful product development.
- PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Communication, or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital signal processing (DSP) algorithm design and implementation for high-speed applications.
- Good understanding of communication system theory, including modulation, demodulation, digital down-conversion, wideband processing, coding, and filtering techniques, as well as signal integrity, timing analysis, and power management.
- Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs) and FPGA development tools and methodologies.
- Experienced with fixed and floating-point arithmetic for real-time embedded systems.
- Experience with hardware schematic design, interface protocols, and resolving hardware and embedded firmware integration challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to use instruments such as signal generators and oscilloscopes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
