About This Role
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Associate to support the full lifecycle of strategic or key projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, business units, technical teams, operations, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and high-quality outcomes. This role demands strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration.
What you will be doing
- Support end-to-end management of projects, including defining scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Assist in project plan and monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Manage project governance, including regular reporting to stakeholders and steering committees
- Facilitate effective cross-workstream collaboration across business, technical, and operations teams.
- Support project budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Work with finance teams to ensure alignment to approved budgets.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and review sessions to drive progress, alignment, and decision-making.
- Manage project related vendor/contractual agreements, coordinating with legal, compliance, and finance teams to ensure policy compliance.
- Maintain a centralized repository of vendor contracts, agreements, and associated metadata.
- Monitor vendor performance/compliance, coordinate regular vendor reviews, and manage relationships with external suppliers.
- Support data analysis related to vendor contracts and service delivery.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and recommend improvements.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools will be an advantage (e.g., Asana, JIRA, Smartsheet, Confluence, MS Project).
- Strong problem-solving attitude, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and find solutions.
- Highly adaptable to changes and shifting priorities.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, able to build trust and influence at both working and management levels.

Eligibility Criteria
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria: •
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and a. Graduated in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE), or other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025
- Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.

Assist in capital equipment acquisition, installation and testing of equipment, commissioning of systems, and validation of process equipment.
Responsible for establishing project plans, document control, change control, risk management, validation, vendor interactions, process development, and project reporting.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and R&D teams to implement process improvements.
Establishes and maintains strong engineering support and services, not limited to maintenance, modifications, design, renovation & facility improvements, to the operations to effectively support Value stream goals and needs.
Ensures all engineering project related work complies with safety, environmental & regulatory requirements.
Ensures open and complete communication with internal customers.
Initiates Engineering related programs or plans to improve on the operational environment so that potential problems could be avoided, and business continuity assured.
Participate in meetings as required to understand operational requirements, concerns, issues and works with the team or department to effectively resolve.
Lead the project management definition, planning and execution.
Participate or drive continuous improvement initiatives/activities.

Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Electrical Mechanical Engineering or related qualifications.
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry.
Experience in managing non-exempt staff.

Strong leadership, results orientated, project management skills, the ability to interact well with internal customers at all levels and external suppliers, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to learn quickly and adjust personally and to manage change within assigned team to respond to changes in customer requirements.

Supported or managed at least one software or project for public sector clients.
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with a high level of initiative.
Able to engage stakeholders and manage their expectations
Able to understand and interpret requirements leading to technical implementation
