Tasek Academy and Social Services (“Tasek”) is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Programme Manager that specialises in girls mentoring. The Programme Manager will engage and support girls aged 12 to 18, from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, that are connected to Tasek through our weekly programmes (eg. football, dance, or academic coaching), camps, youth drop-in spaces, and/or our street outreach. The Programme Manager will support female youth in their personal development, impart life skills, and journey with them through important milestones. In the domain of girls mentoring, the Programme Manager will collaborate closely with Tasek’s social workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with the girls, understand and identify their mentoring needs (i.e. socio-emotional skills, educational support, career guidance etc).
- Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for girls to grow emotionally, socially, and nurture their aspirations.
- Decorate and maintain a girls-only physical space / drop-in for daily engagement sessions.
- Develop and facilitate weekly group mentoring sessions and one-on-one mentoring meetings, based on their mentoring needs
- Design and implement engaging activities focused on life skills, self-esteem, leadership, and career exploration or other areas of mentoring needs.
- Act as a positive role model and advocate for girls in the programme.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to support the girls' development.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular program evaluations and reporting.
- Work closely with Tasek’s casework team, attend team and staff meetings, training, and community events as required.
Job Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in social work, youth work, psychology, education, sports science, arts, communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in working with socially disadvantaged female youths.
- Understanding of issues affecting girls and young women, including those relating to identity, relationships, and sense of self.
- Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including parents, caregivers, teachers, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work on 1 full day per weekend (overall 5-day work week).

The jobholder (2 year contract) supports the Future Ready department in its efforts to help youth in postsecondary education become resilient and future-ready. The jobholder is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the department's mentoring programmes and initiatives and supports the Youth Mentoring Office to achieve the outcomes of FA3.
