work out the quantity of materials needed for the job by taking surface measurements or by looking at job specifications or drawings

look at plans, measure and mark surfaces to be covered and lay out work

prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, cement and adhesive

fill all holes and cracks, and then clean surfaces

attach tiles to surfaces, using correct adhesive, making sure that patterned tiles match

use tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges, corners, or around obstacles such as fittings and pipes

Arrange work for other workers, check work conditions

Job Description & Requirements

• Possess Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BSCC) certificate.
• Possess Certificate in Lifting Supervisor.
• Possess Certificate in Scaffold Supervisor
• Possess relevant BCA skilled certificate
• At least 3 years experience in building construction especially in formwork construction, reinforcement bar installation
• Able to speak English

Your duties as a Site Supervisor are as follows:

To carry out all responsibilities of a Site Supervisor in a Construction site.

a)Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections.

b)To oversee daily operation at site. Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures.;

c)assign tasks to construction laborers, keep accurate records of employee attendance and timesheets

d)Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Construction Programme.;

e)Document recording and preservation during construction

f)Handle and solve problems at site.;

g)Participate in the on-site meeting and report the construction situation;

h)Ensure the works at construction sites carried out are complying with safe work procedures;

Requirements:

• Min 18 years of working experience in construction industry / project site work

• Possess Certificate in Building Construction Supervisor Safety

• Possess work at Height Supervisor Certificate

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Prior experience working as Foreman or Site Supervisor

• Sound knowledge of construction safety regulations

• Working knowledge of construction tools, machinery and equipment

• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

• Can work well in a team

• Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others

• Can multitask, must help to do general work if required
