The incumbent will be part of the Migrant Worker Mediation team in the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM).
Job description:
A mediator is the case manager for employment disputes under his/her care. The mediator’s role is to assess and advise employers and employees on their rights, obligations and best practices in relation to employment and industrial relation matters, so that the mediator can guide them towards an amicable resolution. The mediator will also issue legal documents such as Settlement Agreements and Claims Referral Certificates to document the conclusion of the cases.
Job requirements:
- Knowledge in the Employment Act and/or other labour legislation is preferred.
- Prior 3 years’ experience in human resources, mediation, facilitation or related background.
- Able to communicate well and write concisely.
- Able to handle difficult customers and/or sensitive issues calmly, empathetically and professionally.
- Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable to manage mediation session(s) in person, as well as, over electronic platform(s).
The position offered will commensurate with individual work experience and suitability.
Position is on a 2-year full-time contract directly under the payroll of TAL with an option to renew, contingent upon performance and subject to the organisation's needs. Additionally, there is potential for emplacement into a permanent position.

- Support the collection and organisation of data to evaluate programme outcomes using surveys, feedback forms, pre-/post-tests, and interviews
- Help prepare documentation required for regular and annual performance reports, including those for funders and stakeholders
- Support the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set particularly for the Learning Academy and Cultural/Interfaith Engagements
- Ensure accurate and timely tracking of KPIs such as:
- Uphold HIA’s and AGWO’s commitment to inclusive, fair, and respectful programme access
- Assist in ensuring that all activities adhere to relevant grant guidelines, including non-discriminatory, non-political, and non-proselytising standards
- Flag any concerns in implementation or engagement to supervisors in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Polytechnic Diploma or relevant experience in social service, events, or community engagement
- Passion for serving migrant communities and working in multicultural environments
- Reliable, organised, and detail-oriented in managing logistics and records
- Comfortable using MS Office, Google Forms, and WhatsApp for coordination and documentation
- Able to work on Sundays and some evenings when needed

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design and implementation of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including literature reviews, interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions.
• Coordinate data collection in collaboration with partner organizations and community stakeholders.
• Perform data entry collection and data analysis.
• Maintain research documentation and contribute to project reports, presentations, and publications.
• Assist in organizing community engagement sessions, workshops, and knowledge translation activities, if required.
• Contribute to the drafting of policies, SOPs and practice guidelines derived from research findings.
• Provide logistical and administrative support related to fieldwork and research events.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or Counselling. Postgrad or Honours students welcome.
