Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing functions related to ESH activities.
- Request quotations and check product specifications to meet operational needs.
- Coordinate service and delivery schedules; liaise with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Communicate with process owners for feedback and data collection on ESH-related activities.
- Analyze and interpret ESH data; collect and work with stakeholders to improve identified issues.
- Promote in-house safety culture and awareness through routine workplace inspections, training, and educational programmes.
- Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP, EAI, PPE assessments, and conduct ESH-related programmes.
- Conduct safety inductions for new staff, contractors, and vendors; ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Manage contractor safety, site assessments, and enforce 5S workplace standards.
- Ensure compliance with legal and other regulatory requirements; assist in audits, legal documentation, and communication of regulatory changes.
- Coordinate 3rd party testing and training (e.g., Industrial Hygiene, Stack Emission, Forklift Refresher, Respirator Fit Testing, Confined Space, First Aider).
- Drive process safety improvements, design reviews, and management of change (PCA) implementation.
- Support emergency preparedness, response planning, and site security coordination.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemistry or equivalent.
- At least 1 year relevant working experience
- Entry level candidate are welcomed to apply
- Knowledge in Process Safety Management (PSM) and related WSQ certifications (WSH Level C, Work at Height, Confined Space, Incident Management, Risk Management).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to use functions and formulas effectively.

The role will contribute to the development of novel biotechnological platforms for sustainable enzyme production, creating innovative solutions for environmental and industrial challenges. The Research Associate will be an individual contributor to a multi-disciplinary project involving bioengineering, chemical engineering and materials science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upstream and downstream process of production of biomolecules in cyanobacterial strains, such as designing the constructs, engineering the microbes to assess enzymatic activity and evaluate the potential for large-scale production.

Job Requirement:
