Workplace Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a comprehensive workplace health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• To carry out duties as specified by the WSH Act and ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• To assist in the implementation of the EHS management system and conduct daily WSH inspections including machinery, equipment, plant, and installation.
• To function as the Site EHS Assessor in the verification of hazardous works and conduct EHS induction courses for new employees and contractors.
• To identify WSH hazards and implement control measures, prepare monthly WSH reports, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and Permit to works submission in accordance with Main Contractor requirements.
• To ensure workers and sub-contractors comply with EHS Management System & applicable legal requirements, maintain and monitor EHS records/checklists, participate and facilitate Internal/External audits, investigate and report WSH incidents & near misses, and conduct WSH and other related training.

• WSQ advanced certificate in WSH with Refresher course.
• WAH assessor certificate.

We are seeking a skilled EHS professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating workplace accidents, monitoring compliance with permits and statutory regulations, conducting regular EHS communications, and utilizing problem-solving tools to address complex EHS challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Investigating workplace accidents and liaising with internal specialists and external authorities to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
• Monitoring compliance with permits, licenses, and statutory regulations
• Conducting regular EHS communications across departments and stakeholders
• Utilizing problem-solving tools (CORE/CPS) to address complex EHS challenges
• Supporting site audits: ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001, Safety Management Systems, etc.
• Performing machine/equipment audits and supporting workplace inspections and WSH meetings
• Tracking and analyzing EHS performance metrics to identify hazards and recommend improvements
• Assisting in emergency response training and fire drill exercises
• Delivering EHS awareness programs for all staff levels to ensure regulatory compliance
• Participating in process safety assessments and reviewing risk documentation (RA, JSA, JHA, HAZOP)
• Keeping the site's legal register and EHS layouts up to date in accordance with changes or technological advancements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Diploma in Engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (RWSHO) certification is mandatory
• Prior experience in the Aerospace or Manufacturing industry is a plus

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining EHS procedures, policies, and programs specific to offshore power plant fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS procedures, policies, and programs specific to offshore power plant fabrication.
• Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement project-specific EHS plans.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., construction, quality, engineering) to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Maintain 100% compliance with local EHS laws and client contractual requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant EHS regulations, standards, and industry best practices (e.g., OSHA, DNV).
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, including incident rates, near-miss incidents, and audit findings.
• Manage permits, inspections, and audit records using digital EHS platforms (e.g., Intelex, SAP EHS).

Incident Prevention and Response:

• Provide EHS training, orientation, and inductions to employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Conduct risk assessments (JHAs, PTW audits) for high-risk activities (working at heights, HV systems, heavy lifting).
• Investigate incidents/near-misses using RCA methodologies (e.g., TapRooT, ICAM).

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with contractors, clients, and regulators to resolve EHS concerns.
• Report EHS performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in energy or infrastructure projects (e.g., wind, oil & gas, grid systems, etc.).
• Knowledge of offshore power plant fabrication processes and associated hazards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficient in risk management, and project coordination.
• Familiar with local and international procurement regulations and standards relevant to the marine shipyard industry.
• Knowledge of contractor safety standards and supply chain risk management (preferred).
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Certifications and Training:

• NEBOSH IGC/Diploma, OSHA 30, or equivalent.
