Due to the continuing success of these programs and the increasing demand for graduates in this field, we are now seeking suitable candidates for the position of Sessional Lecturer/Tutor (Part-time teaching staff) in related areas, with a special focus on the following disciplines:

The appointees will be experienced academic/faculty members and will be responsible for teaching and supervision in related subjects across both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Environmental Science. A relevant degree plus industry experience may suffice for lecturing at the undergraduate level. Membership in professional bodies and associations will be an added advantage.

This role is based in Singapore and involves conducting testing of environmental samples of wastewater, trade effluent, leaching tests of building materials, and suitability tests of water.
- Conduct chemical analysis using wet chemistry methods, HACH & APHA methodologies as well as ICP, TOC, IC, FTIR, UV_VIS instrumentation.
- Ensure reagents preparation, QA/QC, and test methods comply with ISO 17025 requirements.
- Upkeep equipment calibration, maintenance, and verification for lab quality management compliance.
- Perform sampling and on-site testing when required.

- Ensure chemicals and consumables availability and request replenishment when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

What the role is:
This is a 2-year position as a Lecturer in the School of Life Sciences & Chemical Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering Continuing Education and Training (CET) and Pre-Employment Training (PET) programmes in the areas of environmental sustainability, water technology, and waste management.
What you will be working on:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Design, develop and deliver in-person/online lectures, tutorials, practicals, assessments and marking for full-time and part-time courses in environmental science and sustainability, environmental engineering, water technology and carbon management
Be available to teach at least 1 evening per week and/or on weekends for CET classes
Conduct business development in the environmental industry to drive CET courses, “Industry in Curriculum” and projects.
Supervise and facilitate student-industry collaboration projects
Collaborate with industry on training, applied research and/or consultancy projects to stay relevant in your profession.
Contribute to student-related events (such as leading student overseas trips) and outreach activities.
Mentor students in character development and career readiness
Provide pastoral care for students
Carry out administrative duties to support academic and school operations

Relevant qualifications in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
Relevant teaching experience or at least 3 years of relevant industry experience in the area of civil or environmental engineering
