We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science and excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will provide technical support and development for various markets, including Consumer & Industrial Electronics and Mobility & Transportation Electronics. They will identify new opportunities for unmet customer needs or new applications and convert growth opportunities to commercial success.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on suitability of material to customer specific application and advise on material properties, how to apply material and troubleshooting.
- Learn and conduct spec-in of polymeric materials based on various chemistries and assess material properties to generate data for existing materials or new product development in lab.
- Communicate and document work in the form of internal reports/presentations, external reports, and ICD/patents when appropriate.
- Deliver presentations with clear results and proposals to influence internal and external audiences.
- Gain expertise in competitive technologies and utilize for market specific activities.
- Participate and engage cross functional stakeholders (e.g. Commercial, marketing, technical) to drive innovation growth.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience for existing and prospective customers with a customer-centric mindset and ensure consistent experience across different touchpoints.
- Minimum Master's degree in science (Polymers, Materials, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering), Ph.D. is desired.
- At least 2 years of prior working experience in R&D, prior experience working as technical expert for Electronics applications related projects is highly desirable.
- Able to travel (~30% of time).
- Strong interpersonal skills and Excellent Verbal/written/presentational skills.
- Knowledge of safe lab practices with high safety quotient for working in lab.
- Knowledge of trends in Electronics markets (eg. Displays, Battery Fire protection, Low temperature cure, PFAS free, sustainability) will be advantageous.
- Project management Skills is a plus.
