Job Requirements
  • Degree in Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of carbon emission protocols (SBTi, GHG Protocol, Paris Agreement).
  • Familiarity with waste management regulations and ESG frameworks.
  • Experience with ISO standards (14001, 14024, 17065, 14064/14065).
  • Proficient in Sustainability Reporting (GRI, SDG).
  • Excellent analytical, research, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office and fluent in English.

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join the Functional team, with the following roles:

  • Support the Product Owner in requirement gathering sessions with users
  • Writing User Stories based on user requirements
  • Assisting the technical team to understand and refine the User Stories if required
  • Test developed features to ensure they match User Stories and to detect potential bugs
  • Test the solution once deployed in the Client environments
  • Support the Product Owner in conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Write documentation.
  • Carry out configuration changes to the system, including for example sensor configuration, dashboard settings or model run settings, excluding technical configuration that is done by the IT Operations Engineer.
  • Provide support to users when they report an anomaly or have a question, and proactively advise users during particular moments (crisis such as major rain event, or major drinking water network event)

Requirements

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience and skills:
    At least 2 years of experience in digital water systems, smart infrastructure is advantageous.
    Prior involvement in system specification writing, software testing, and user engagement.
    Experience in stormwater management operations is a plus.
    Experience in data analysis or data science is a plus.
    Ability to create mock-ups or lead mock-up design is a plus (Figma or others).
    Background in using hydraulic, hydrodynamic and water quality models (EPANET, SWMM, SOBEK, Delft3D etc.) is a plus.

As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
  • Possess a Bachelors of Science degree in a science or testing related field
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications
  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts
  • Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Possess strong computer skills
