We are expanding our current scale of operations and are seeking an experienced Head of Research & Development . This new teammate will play a crucial role in the battery recycling process through development and scale-up to commercialization. Working closely with the Engineering team, this hire will lead, drive, and execute the R&D roadmap in collaboration with the CTO to develop cutting-edge recycling equipment for the advancement of pilots and concepts to scalable, refined commercial products.
Responsibilities
Scientific & Technical Leadership

- Identify and troubleshoot technical bottlenecks in the redox recovery process and propose solutions to optimize material recovery and improve process efficiency
- Act as a critical bridge between bench research and the pilot line, ensuring seamless translation of R&D innovations into scalable, commercial-ready processes
Requirements
- PhD or MS in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5–15 years of hands-on R&D experience in battery technology, recycling processes, or industrial electrochemistry

The EIF Business develops novel Connector, IC Substrate/Lead Frame, Passives, and Plastic metallization solutions serving automotive, telecom, data center, consumer, and other electronics end markets.
As a Leader, you will focus on the development and commercialization of novel metallization chemistries and processes. You must demonstrate excellent technical and application expertise related to metallization processes . You are an experienced leader with strong technical, communication, project, and team management skills. You may also serve as site leader , responsible for the seamless operation of our labs.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be responsible for leading a group of talented Scientists and Engineers focused on the development and successful implementation of our advanced metallization solutions. You will have close collaboration with Commercial, Marketing, EHS and project management functions to successfully deliver market-leading technology solutions. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.Qualification Postgraduate level or above in Quantitative finance background. 2-5 years experience within financial markets Excellent technical skills in Python, SQL and data manipulation. Strong hands-on experience working with GCP.
