Your day at NTT DATA
The Manager, Finance Taxation is responsible for the tax strategy, compliance, and advisory across APAC, including transfer pricing, tax audits, and regulatory changes.
This role requires working with and advising senior management and/or executives to align tax optimization with the organization's operations and business development initiatives, consistent with tax laws and regulations.
The Manager, Finance Taxation fosters a collaborative and innovative culture across their team, focused on achieving operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance across APAC jurisdictions.
- Review indirect tax filings and recommend process improvements.
- Evaluates tax implications pertaining to new transactions including tax planning with implementation and integration, new business ventures, and contracts.
- Monitors tax developments and tax changes including new international tax laws impacting the organization.
- Assesses and guides the organization with the potential tax impact as well as opportunities and alternatives.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements.
- Support tax provision accounting and external audits.
- Coordinate tax audits and liaise with tax authorities and consultants.
- Monitor APAC tax law changes and assess business impact.
- Reviews business transactions to identify tax implications and advise the business in structuring the transactions in the most efficient manner.

Required experience:
- 8+ years of experience in multinational corporate tax with APAC exposure.
- Strong knowledge of international tax, transfer pricing, and APAC tax regimes.
- Experience with tax audits and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently.
- Experience in DC industry preferred
- Prior experience working with stakeholders in other APAC countries (ie. Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand)
Other Requirements:
- Must have flexible work schedule to accommodate across global business hours
- Travel will be required, up to 10%

About the Role:
- Handle complete sets of accounts and day-to-day Finance functions for multiple international clients.
- Maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main contact for accounting and tax matters.
- Perform monthly closing activities, cashflow forecast, bank recon, schedules and quarterly GST submission.
- Co-ordinate and liaise with external auditor and preparation of statutory report, financial statements and XBRL filing.
- Perform tax computations and handle tax queries.
- Assist clients with GST registration, exemption application and other GST schemes.
- Liaise with the IRAS on issues relating to inquiries, audits and other investigations.
- Preparation of tax reports for clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in doing full sets of accounts or similar capacity preferably within a professional account firm in Singapore.
- Able to work independently and proven experience in managing multiple client accounts.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is highly preferred. Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP) (Income Tax) or Accredited Tax Advisor (GST) by SCTP is an advantage.
