Job Description
We're looking for a Tax Accountant with strong technical foundations in Singapore tax (corporate income tax and GST), and the ability to own a client portfolio across industries and geographies. This is not a siloed tax-prep role. You'll work as a relationship manager and strategic point of contact for your clients - ensuring their tax needs are met while collaborating across service teams for seamless delivery.
You'll wear two hats:
- Tax Specialist - ensure timely, accurate tax compliance and provide advisory insights.
- Account Manager - maintain and grow client relationships, coordinate across functions, and uphold service quality.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Advisory
- Prepare and review corporate income tax filings, GST returns, and withholding tax matters for Singapore entities.
- Liaise with IRAS on tax queries, audits, or disputes.
- Monitor developments in Singapore tax regulations and assess client impact.
- Provide first-line advisory on tax structuring and optimization (within remit).
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of local and international clients.
- Understand client business models and anticipate operational needs beyond tax.
- Coordinate with internal teams (accounting, payroll, corporate secretary) to ensure smooth delivery.
- Drive client satisfaction, identify upsell opportunities, and ensure renewals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Tap into PikoHANA's specialized delivery teams to manage full-spectrum client needs.
- Engage with regional team members across Southeast Asia in a hybrid virtual environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Must-Haves
- Min. 5 years' experience in Singapore tax compliance and advisory.
- Deep knowledge of Singapore's corporate tax, GST, and IRAS frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset.
- Able to manage multiple portfolios independently and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA) (strongly preferred).
- Chartered Accountant (Singapore), ACCA, or CPA equivalent.
- Familiarity with IRAS systems and e-Services.
- Experience with Xero or other cloud accounting platforms.
What We Offer
- A flat, collaborative team structure where your voice matters.
- Exposure to diverse international clients - from solopreneurs to scale-ups.
- Hybrid work model with autonomy and trust.
- Access to advisory work beyond tax (cross-border, workforce, expansion support).
- Career growth within a boutique firm with ambitious regional goals.
