Reporting to the Tax and Customs Manager (based in Singapore), you will be responsible for supporting Singapore corporate tax, GST, Transfer Pricing and Customs compliance & advisory for Siemens Singapore group of entities.
You'll make an impact by
- Handling Tax Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax accounting and reporting packages, ensuring full compliance with both local and HQ requirements.
- Managing Tax Returns: Prepare and submit Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and GST returns to tax authorities, handling all necessary information extraction and collation.
- Supporting Transfer Pricing: Assist with transfer pricing documentation and financial analysis, coordinating closely with internal business units, HQ, and external tax advisors.
- Resolving Tax Queries: Manage and respond to tax inquiries from authorities and internal stakeholders, preparing draft replies and resolving issues related to various tax matters.
- Leading Tax Advisory & Projects: Participate in ad-hoc advisory and special projects, including process improvement, implementing new tax laws, and M&A activities.
- Providing Customs Support: Support customs advisory activities, ensuring alignment with local regulations and the company's global customs strategy.
Your defining qualities
- Educational Background: A degree in Tax, Accountancy, Business Administration, or an equivalent professional qualification is required.
- Relevant Experience: You have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Singapore corporate tax, GST, and transfer pricing, gained either from an accounting firm or an in-house role. A Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP) accreditation is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: You are proficient with SAP, MS Applications, and other accounting software.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: You can work effectively as an individual contributor and partner with colleagues across different functions and businesses.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: You are a detail-oriented, independent individual who demonstrates initiative and a constant process improvement mindset, supported by strong analytical skills.
