Job Description:
- Identify and develop business strategies and plan for public safety and security products for local government agencies and law enforcement bodies.
- Engage key stakeholders in local government agencies and law enforcement bodies to identify emerging needs.
- Build and maintain a strong network with government officials, procurement agencies and project teams.
- Monitor public safety and security procurement policies, offset obligations, and regulatory frameworks to align business strategies.
- Identify tenders, RFPs, and government procurement opportunities aligned with the company's product portfolio.
- Understand customer requirements and work with internal teams (engineering, operations, logistics, legal, etc.) to develop business solutions.
- Lead the preparation of proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and coordinate tender submissions.
- Represent the company at public safety and security expos, trade shows, and industry events.
- Monitor public sector policy changes affecting public safety and security domain.
- Prepare, track and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and KPIs to senior management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field. MBA is an advantage.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management in public sector, safety or security domains.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, public safety and security policies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead business growth in government or public-facing projects.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and proposal development skills.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, demos, and industry events.
- Having working experiences and familiarity with Ministry of Home Affairs, public safety and security related agencies.
- Good understanding of the government Procurement guide, processes and offset policy.
- Experience in working with public safety and security technologies, systems or dual-use technologies.
- Prior service in the Ministry of Home Affairs, public safety and security related agencies is a strong plus.
