Job Responsibilities:

• To maintain, check and conduct routine servicing of all fighting equipment and facilities accordingly to the work schedule and maintenance program.
• To conduct periodic tests and checks of fire protection facilities and system.
• To assist in the conduct of the yearly performance test on the fire pumps.
• To ensure that all works are conducted and completed in accordance with the specified schedule of maintenance.
• To conduct fire training and any emergency courses organised.
• To respond to any emergency as a member of the ERT (Emergency Response Team) when activated, including fighting, rescue and any other emergency related activities.
• To perform fire inspection rounds, routine maintenance on all firefighting equipment and fighting in the event of fire emergency.
• To occasionally be involved in any fire exercise with the Authority.

Job Requirement:

Role Summary

You are part of the Emergency Response Centre (ERC) team, responsible for planning, responding and recovering from EHS incidents arising from the workplace health, environmental and/or work processes. You will be given the opportunity to continually improve the emergency response readiness and Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) capabilities of the company. The Centre for Infectious Disease Emergency Response (CIDER) was established under the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS Medicine). The Centre comprises of multiple interdependent tracks to support Singapore authorities and partners regionally and globally to strengthen their capabilities to prevent, detect and effectively respond to infectious disease emergencies.

The candidate will report to the Centre Director and oversee all administrative and operational functions of the Centre.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with the Centre Director and the track in-charges to oversee the administrative, business and operational functions of the multi-track Centre.
• Play a proactive role in building strong working relationships with a multidisciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that align with the overall objectives of the Centre.
• Support the development and delivery of educational offerings including logistics and costings.
