Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the execution of the project assigned to him by Project Engineer
• Assist in the requisition of resources for the project such as labour, materials, equipment and others
• Assist in handling and storing of materials and equipment
• Reduce and minimise wastage of materials and equipment
• Supervise the sub-contractors' work
• Liaise with affiliated parties for the material delivery
• Ensure proper handover of the project to the customer upon project completion
• Ensure safety practices are followed
• Assist engineer in carrying out inspections of incoming materials and equipment for the projects at the work site
• Conduct quality checks of sub contractor or vendor works daily
• Handle site inspections, to arrange and attend to site inspections with RTO
• Arrange site inspections with client or main contractor's representative and update site installation progress
• Update the drafter on site changes regularly
• Arrange and obtain permit to work before execution of site activities
• Raise non-conformance product reports for nonconforming products
• Carried out assignment as detailed by the Senior Manager / Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager

Core responsibilities

• Project planning and execution: Plan and oversee the execution of projects from commencement to completion.
• Team and resource management: Lead and motivate project teams, coordinate resources, and delegate tasks effectively.
• Budget and timeline management: Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, managing timelines and resources accordingly.
• Quality assurance: Ensure that installations and deliverables meet the company, client, and industry standards.

Additional duties

• Compliance: Ensure projects comply with all relevant legal, regulatory, and safety standards, such as Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain project reports, and manage project documentation.
• Continuous improvement: Develop and implement processes to improve project management efficiency and effectiveness.
• Site-specific tasks: Depending on the industry, may include on-site supervision, coordinating construction activities, or overseeing specific operations like cargo handling or electrical and fiber works.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Marine industry

• Relevant certificates such as Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1) / WSQ Workplace Safety Health course level 2 / Shipyard Safety Supervisor Course (SSSC)

• Relevant working experience, have knowledge of Shipyards operations and experience in project handling are an advantage

• Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.

• Ability to work in a team

• Able to work long hours during weekdays and on weekends and public holidays when required.

• Must be able to adapt to changes (work procedures) at short notice.

• Positive attitude with sense of commitment and responsibility

Responsibilities:

• Manage renovation, refurbishment, and reinstatement works.
• Ensure all projects and tasks are completed within the given timeline.
• Conduct quality and quantity checks on renovation projects.
• Perform regular site visits to outlets for inspections and follow-up.
• Manage project budgets and ensure expenditures are well justified.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Diploma/Degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Interior Design, or Building Construction related field.
• Strong knowledge of local fit-out regulations, Statutory Board requirements, and Building Management standards.
• Experience in retrofitting works and M&E works will be an advantage.
• Good Microsoft Office literacy: Words, Excel, PowerPoint
