Who are we looking for?

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise to develop new processes and improve existing processes for optimization of chemical manufacturing processes by working with the regional and functional leaders to identify and execute projects that can improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and reduce the overall cost of operations.

What will you be doing?
  • Support and lead optimization projects – Responsibilities include the planning, coordination, communication and execution of optimization projects related to chemical processes.
  • Support and Lead the sharing and implementation of best practices within the region.
  • Provide technical, managerial and supervisory direction to develop new guidelines and procedures for Scale Up of newly developed product and Technology Transfers.
  • Provides technical and managerial direction for special projects of a complex nature requiring engineering and technical expertise.
  • Responsible for the development of new processes to reduce process cycle time and improve quality and yield of finished goods.
  • Motivate team to achieve Key Performance Indices (KPI) set by management
  • Lead taskforce to overcome production and quality issues.
  • Any other tasks that are assigned
Who are You?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Relevant industrial experience of about 2 to 5 years in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of working in an operations / supply-chain organization, along with effective engagement with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership, program / process management, analytical, & communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach and inspire a team independently of formal authority
  • Manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain tight timelines while meeting targeted savings outcomes.
  • Experience with total cost of ownership reduction and process improvement.

Your Job:

  • Raise PCRB and understand the requirement for PCRB opening, follow through with qual plan, analyze data using required software and CR closure
  • Follow up on SPSR, MRB, 8D, TECN, or spec update with ECN. Provide guidance to junior Engineers
  • Startup and qualify new process and new equipment within scheduled timeline. Work closely with Equipment Engineer on new equipment acceptance. Understand the concept of repeatability and reproducibility (R&R) run
  • Analyze data from passed down to identify chronic process issues, establish improvement programs and lead engineers to resolve them. Establish CAS / procedures to be followed and work with other departments for resolution if required
  • Coach and show Engineers how to use the toolsets more effectively. Provide feedback/ training to Process Engineers on their troubleshooting skills, understanding of processes, decision making, risk assessment
  • Lead Engineers on improvement projects, process window study and provide improvement plans to reduce OOC and improve CPK. Coach engineers on process matching between equipment to reduce variation. Perform analysis / DOE to find factors for better tool matching
  • Work as a team with both Equipment and Mfg Engineers to meet Module objectives. Drive team to meet key indices of Uptime and OEE as per the goals set for these indices
  • Take on leadership role to drive a small cross functional task team to address yield improvement/ excursion issues
  • Discuss integration related issues and understand process flows
  • Resolve complex technical issues in own Module or yield related issues
  • Follow up with cross-fab benchmarking activities to engage the best-in-campus practices across fabs
  • Self audit and update specifications / documentation to meet TS16949 Quality Standard requirements.

About This Role

Looking for a motivated and hands-on Process engineer to support the setup and ramp of our next-generation semiconductor manufacturing line. In this role, you’ll collaborate across engineering and operations to drive smooth technology transfer from pathfinding and ramp to pilot production. About this role

Looking for a motivated and hands-on Process engineer to support the setup and ramp of our next-generation semiconductor manufacturing line. In this role, you’ll collaborate across engineering and operations to drive smooth technology transfer from pathfinding and ramp to pilot production. Experience and discipline in process transfer to pilot production line will be critical to a successful and efficient fab ramp-up.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and train on existing R&D processes and transfer knowledge to pilot production line. Create a comprehensive checklist to ensure successful transfer of processes and materials
  • Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on a wide range of complex process engineering experiments for multiple products, within safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with R&D and production process, integration, operations and hardware teams to ensure completing the checklist on time to meet timeline needed to start HVM operations
  • Track and manage schedules, deliverables, and risks for technology transfer and production milestones. Develop, plan and execute process engineering projects, within safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate training with R&D transfer engineers. Train engineers in measurement techniques of film properties and guide them in the interpretation of the data, new methodologies, trouble shooting techniques and resolve a wide range of complex process engineering issues/problems for multiple productsInteract with customers to resolve a wide range of complex process engineering issues/problems with limited to no supervision.
  • Design and implement new technology, products and analytical instrumentation.
