This includes, but not limited to validating prediction models, providing context to the data, linking back to business cases, etc.* Drive and execute projects within Advanced Process Innovation program. This role is designed as a Product Owner within agile project management method to deliver projects within Advanced Process Innovation.* Continuously find improvement opportunities in the manufacturing facility to support the project pipelines within three workstreams in Advanced Process Innovation.* Collaborate with global and local teams in developing solutions, especially leveraging in more advanced technologies in the market that are not yet implemented within the organization.* Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including operations, quality assurance, and management.* Stay abreast with industry trends and emerging technology in manufacturing industry with the intent to bring them into the organization.**REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.* Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the petrochemical or biochemical industry, with a focus on chemical production being a significant advantage.* Strong understanding of process modeling, simulation, and validation techniques; especially in mass & energy balance and reactor modelling.* Familiarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R, or similar) is a plus.* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality.* Willingness to explore new technologies and tools in the industry, especially in the field of data science, AI and ML.**您的申请**

We are currently seeking a Modelling and Simulation Lead with a focus on End-to-End Systems to join our team and help us analyse the performance of enterprise applications across various communication networks. You will play a crucial role in modelling and simulating the performance of enterprise applications, including industrial applications, across communication networks such as mobile, wired, and quantum networks. Your expertise in end-to-end system modelling and simulation techniques will ensure a thorough understanding of application performance metrics, such as response time, latency, and error rates. The successful candidate is a strategic and analytic thinker who also enjoys understanding new and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Lead a small team of 1 or 2 members specializing in end-to-end system modelling and simulation for enterprise and industrial applications.
Develop and utilize modelling and simulation tools to analyse the performance of various communication networks, including mobile, wired, and quantum networks/internet.
Conduct scenario analysis and simulations to assess application response time, latency, estimated error rates, and other performance metrics.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and industry partners to understand the requirements and constraints of various communication networks.
Identify potential bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement in end-to-end systems and propose solutions to optimize performance.
Stay current with advances in communication technologies, end-to-end system modelling, and simulation tools to contribute to the development of new techniques and methodologies.
Prepare technical documentation and present project updates to stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior team members.
Collaborate with whole of government teams, industry and academic partners to develop strategies on developing emerging technologies.
Work in a cross-functional teams to develop strategy, implementation design and plan for nationwide communications infrastructure solutions.
Stakeholder management of internal and external stakeholders and to write think pieces on technology use and technology fundamentals to non-technical audience.
Requirements
Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
At least 7 years of experience working on end-to-end system modelling and simulation projects, with a focus on enterprise and industrial applications.
In-depth understanding of various communication networks, including mobile, wired, and quantum networks/internet.
Proficiency in end-to-end system modelling and simulation tools, such as OPNET, NS-3, QuNetSim, or similar.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing small teams.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
This position will commensurate with experience.

Offer Description
As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.
The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to develop/produce/investigate a web-based Ship Simulation and Optimisation Software Platform.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
Undertake these responsibilities in the project:
i. Carry out dynamic modelling and simulation of the energy storage, electrical power and propulsion system of electrical ships.
ii. Carry out testing of the simulation models, fix problems, and improve the performance.
iii. Take part in the web application and software system development for a Ship Simulation and Optimisation Software Platform.
iv. Carry out marine electrical power and energy storage system design optimisation.
Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Job Requirements
Have relevant competence in the areas of dynamic modeling and simulation.
Have a degree in Electrical Engineering/Marine Engineering/Mechatronics/Other Relevant Engineering Degree. Possessing a Master’s or PhD degree will be advantageous.
Experience in C++/Java will be advantageous.
Able to carry out dynamic modelling and simulation of ship electrical power and propulsion systems.
Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with people within and external to the university.
Self-directed learner who believes in continuous learning and development
Proficient in technical writing and presentation
Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Show strong initiative and take ownership of work

- Review part drawings and independently prepare layouts according to product requirements.
- Complete tool designs and ensure alignment with production specifications.
- Facilitate smooth transitions from product design and development to manufacturing.
- Identify and resolve technical design issues promptly; recommend improvements for new and existing tools.

Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Engineering.
