Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions across manufacturing sites and warehouses
  • Reconcile inventory data with cost and pricing records, ensuring data integrity and alignment with cost accounting principles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, resolve discrepancies, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Create and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing accuracy in the ERP system for proper cost allocation
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in inventory and cost reporting
  • Manage demand/supply planning and coordinate orders, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and resolve order-related issues to ensure timely processing across multiple channels
  • Develop and track key metrics for pricing management, collaborating with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and partners to ensure effective communication and support
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory or cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage and reconcile complex data sets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Job Description

As a Data Scientist in the Trading, Price, and Risk Management (TPRM) team, you will play a crucial role in developing quantitative models that enhance trading strategies, optimize pricing mechanisms, and effectively manage risk. You will collaborate with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to drive actionable insights from complex datasets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with trading and risk teams to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance trading strategies. Analyse large and/or complex data sets, identify patterns, and develop algorithms to extract insights.
  • Designing and implementing machine learning models to solve complex business problems. This includes selecting appropriate algorithms, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
  • Create compelling visualizations that communicate the results of data analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Use visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Managing data science projects from conception to completion. This includes scoping projects, setting timelines, managing resources, and communicating project status to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, trading, and risk management.
  • Contribute to enhancing existing models and processes through innovative approaches and continuous learning.
  • Lead a team of Data scientists and collaborate with data engineers, DevOps teams, Infra, Infosec, and UI/UX designers.
  • Maintain and monitor analytical models after production deployment.
  • Thought leadership, including staying up to date with the latest developments in data science. Continuous engagement with business users to update them on potential opportunities of data science initiatives for their business.

Experience Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • MS/PhD in computer science, statistics, or operations research or related technical discipline (e.g. math).
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of work experience in a statistical and/or data science role, with deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and optimization.
  • Proficient in working with large and complex data sets using modern data platforms such as Snowflake and distributed data processing tools like PySpark.
  • Preferred programming experience: Python & SQL with considerable experience with a wide range of tools including SparkML, H2O, FlinkML, TensorFlow, Pandas, R and Matlab.
  • Expert in working with large data sets, simulation/ optimization, and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.).
  • Data visualization experience in Power BI and/or Tableau.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong desire to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to use data to drive business growth. You should be able to think creatively and identify innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to lead end-to-end data science projects and work with business leadership to quickly turn insights into actions.

PURPOSE:


The Financial Analyst (Pricing) partners with the regional bid team and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the pursuit process to develop robust, data-driven financial cases for outsourcing and managed service opportunities.
This role is responsible for building detailed financial models with multiple scenarios and pricing strategies that ensure competitiveness while meeting customer needs and delivering profitable outcomes.


The analyst will prepare financial justifications for internal approvals, conduct risk analysis, and ensure alignment with company financial objectives. Acting as a key liaison between Finance, Sales, and Operations, the analyst will provide insights that directly influence win strategies and deal structuring.


RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

Pricing Strategy & Financial Modelling

  • Lead the development of comprehensive financial analyses for pricing options in outsourcing and managed services.
  • Build detailed, flexible financial models incorporating multiple pricing scenarios, sensitivity analyses, and profitability metrics.
  • Ensure pricing proposals meet both customer requirements and internal financial targets, balancing competitiveness with margin goals.
  • Support bid pursuit processes by modelling different deal structures, payment terms, and contractual scenarios.
  • Provide recommendations on optimal pricing approaches to maximise win probability while protecting profitability.

Deal Support & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with sales, solution architects, finance, and operations to gather inputs on customers and deal requirements.
  • Present pricing strategies, models, and justifications to internal reviewers and senior management to secure approvals.
  • Support bid reviews, negotiations, and contract finalization with financial insights and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial teams to assess the financial impact of contract terms and risk clauses.

Process & Risk Management

  • Maintain and update pricing tools, templates, and financial databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and quantify potential financial risks in bids and proposals.
  • Provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and contingency planning in deal pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, approval processes, and industry regulations.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • 3 - 5 years of working experience, preferably as an analyst or in pricing/costing analysis
  • Advanced financial modelling knowledge in Excel
  • Strong understanding of cost structures, revenue recognition, and pricing methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret commercial and contractual terms in financial modelling.
  • Knowledge of pricing standards, competitive benchmarking and market analysis
  • Proficient in accounting standards applicable to service industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of management
  • Ability to cope with peak workloads, short deadlines and business pressures and skilled in
    prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse, foreign and multi-cultural environments

The incumbent is part of actuarial pricing department, mainly responsible for the areas described below:
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Performing custom pricing on special quotation requests using actuarial software.
+ Making financial assessment and recommendation for a pricing offer which optimizes premium competitiveness and company profitability/risks.
+ Support policy servicing requests such as post-sales illustrations, etc.
+ Build and update pricing models used for custom pricing using Excel or AXIS.
+ Perform peer review of team's pricing models and support UAT testing.
+ Ad-hoc pricing tasks as assigned (e.g. to support product pricing, channel compensation review, dummy risk analysis etc.)
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Good progress on actuarial exams
+ Fresh graduates welcomed to apply
+ Good knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point)
+ Team player oriented as well as able to work independently
+ Knowledge of AXIS software is asset
