KEY ROLES:

This is essentially a generic Job Specification for Subject Teachers; all teachers at SJI International are also expected to contribute significantly to the service, sport and activity programmes, to accompany school trips and expeditions and to play a full part in the continued development of a thriving school community. Most teachers are also expected to take on the pastoral role of Form Tutor.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Education specialist to join our team at an international school in Singapore.

As a Physical Education specialist, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lesson plans that promote physical literacy, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate Physical Education with classroom Units of Inquiry, reinforcing transdisciplinary connections. You will also use various assessments to monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback and targeted support where needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching PE in an international school setting. They will be familiar with the IB PYP framework and have strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive practices in physical education.

The successful candidate will be a leader in evidence-based instruction, with excellent classroom management skills and a focus on building a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment. They will also have strong collaboration and communication skills for working with colleagues, students, and parents.
