Senior Instructor / Sports Science & Education
The Senior Instructor is part of the Student Development & Alumni Affairs Department.
What You Will Be Working On
To support the sports-related subjects e.g., Sports & Wellness in terms of teaching, curriculum development and review, conduct students’ feedback and liaise with instructors to enhance students’ learning experience.
To support the development and learning of Sports Science and/or basic health and fitness principles to athletes and students in the sports-related subjects e.g., Sports & Wellness.
To supervise the assigned sports CCAs and interest groups in their training and competitions, and be the liaison between athletes, coaches, schools and other key partners and stakeholders (e.g., POL-ITE, IVP, MOE schools for Talent Recruitment). Some of these activities may occur outside of office hours and weekends.
To work with the National Sports Associations (NSAs) of the assigned sports CCAs to host any POL-ITE and IVP sporting competitions.
To establish partnerships with reputable overseas institutions and clubs/academies to propose, plan and execute overseas sports exchanges and leadership programmes for athletes.
To adopt best practices and knowledge of business processes to improve programmes and services e.g., procurement of coaches, instructors and/or vendors services.
To support and contribute to poly-wide/school-wide events or activities (e.g., Freshmen Orientation Programme, Temasek Regatta, EAE/DAE, CCA Recruitment Drive).
To curate and promote relevant activities, classes and events to engage the TP community to participate in sports activities.
What We Are Looking For
Preferably at least 3 years of relevant working experience with considerable knowledge and skills in the sports industry, particularly in the area of high performance Sports Team Management and/or Event Management of various sizes and scale.
Able to work beyond office hours when required e.g., during events and competitions.
Resourceful, analytical, self‐motivated, high learning agility and result‐oriented individual with experience in competitive sports.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication (written and spoken) skills.
Independent worker who requires little guidance in situations and is able to solve novel and complex issues on a regular basis.
A team player with strong interpersonal skills and collaborative skills to work in cross‐functional teams and with stakeholders.
IT‐savvy and proficient in the suite of MS Office applications.

Conduct literature review.
