Job Summary
Are you passionate about fitness and creating a safe, welcoming gym environment? We're looking for certified Fitness Instructors to take charge of daily gym operations, ensure equipment is safe and well-maintained, and support users with proper guidance. A valid Standard First Aid certificate and a recognised fitness qualification is required
Scope of Work
- Perform daily checks on gym equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain housekeeping of gym.
- Oversee gym users and provide guidance on the correct use of exercise equipment.
- Work with team members to carry out emergency rescues according to established action plans, and notify Sport Champions before initiating any rescue efforts.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Standard First Aid certificate issued by a training centre accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC), throughout the entire duration of the contract.
- Hold any of the following SPORTS related certifications from recognised institutions:
* PSB Academy
* Singapore University of Social Sciences
* American Exercise Council
* International Management & Sports College
* Kaplan
* National Institute of Education
* Australian Strength & Conditioning Association
* National Strength & Conditioning Association

Responsibilities
- Supervise all users of the gym and advise all users on the proper usage of exercise equipment.
- Housekeeping of gym, such as returning equipment to store, arranging exercise mats, benches, etc.
- Act in a professional manner and in accordance with the rules and guidelines set forth.
- Conduct fitness and exercise programmes such as stretching, fitness training and weight training programmes.
- Ensure the safety of all our guests, including gym users.
- When required, work in a team to perform rescue and resuscitation based on established emergency action plan and alerting the Company of emergency before attempting any rescue.
Requirements
- Possess relevant fitness trainer certification, Fitness Instructor Course (FIC), ACE (CPT) or equivalent
- Possess a valid CPR/AED and Standard First-Aid certification
- Comfortable with irregular breaks
- Able to stand for long hours
- Well-disciplined, customer orientated and punctual

Experience

Certifications (Singapore-Recognised)
Candidates must hold fitness certifications accredited or recognised in Singapore, such as:
- Sport Singapore–accredited Fitness Instructor Certification (FIC)
- ACE Certified Personal Trainer (via FIT Asia's accredited program)
- NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (via NSCA Singapore)
- Basic Exercise Science (BES) or equivalent recognised under the National Registry of Exercise Professionals (NREP)
