The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and electronic engineering knowledge, with experience in AC & DC motors, single-phase & three-phase systems, lead acid & lithium batteries, electrical control circuits, and hydraulic systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing outdoor and indoor repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting work. When repairs cannot be done outdoors, the individual will work within our workshop. We require a degree or diploma in electrical & electronic engineering and a minimum of one year's customer support experience.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to work effectively as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills. Holding a local driving license is advantageous.

About The Job
The primary role is to execute Electrical maintenance to the optimum level of performance for safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant.
Job responsibilities:
- Compliance to HSSE standards and requirements to make Aster Jurong Island (AJI) a safe place to work, and accountable for all assigned Critical activities.
- Perform Authorized Applicant and/or Authorized Engineer as per AJI Permit to Work (e-PTW) requirement.
- Provides day-to-day hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting including contractor/specialist management for all Electrical maintenance related matters, delivered with high safety standards, comply to authorities such as EMA ACT, Electricity ACT, local industrial and company HSE standards to ensure the equipment validity and availability.
- Participate FAT/SAT and Functional testing to ensure electrical equipment’s are meeting the design intent when required.
- Responsible for carrying out preventive as well as corrective maintenance works and ensuring plant equipment availability.
- Participate in AMS ME assessment and determine Electrical equipment maintenance task and schedule.
- Prepares job specifications and costing for works involved and apply work clearance / permit for work execution.
- Shall be conversant with HSE and Permit to work requirements in petroleum and petrochemical industry.
- Participate and execute for Turnaround/ pitstop events in related Process Units (PUs).
- Perform electrical equipment condition monitoring whenever required & liaise with relevant subject matter experts/specialist/OEM to address any arising issues, problems & concerns.
- In order to ensure AJI’s assets operate safely & reliably, without suffering any process safety incident or causing life-changing events to person(s), the staff is accountable to ensure compliance to those Critical Activities assigned for the Job Position.
- Provide good documentation to ensure all equipment technical records and drawings are updated to reflect the latest changes.
- Maintains work requests and records on maintenance works using computerized maintenance management systems, GSAP-PM.
- Attend callout to the Emergency work upon request.
- To carry out electrical QC checks including insulation resistance test, continuity test, loop check, motor winding resistance test.
- To report timely to EIQ Lead engineer on the progress of work, issues encountered.
- Diploma/ITE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Electrical construction/ installation in oil & gas, chemical & petrochemical industry.
- Holder of AWSHPP (Supervisor) certification for petrochemical industry.
- Qualified MOM man-hole (Supervisor) and confined space entrant.
- Qualified WAH.

What will you be doing?
Customer relationship management
- Responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with the customers, the site contact person and end-users presents on site, by applying the service mindset attitude.

- Responsible to take immediate action on site in case high risk identification and to apply the escalation procedure and ensure that the information is received by the relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for identifying service repair opportunities and if possible - execute them on site immediately or by raising sales leads.
- Responsible for effectively planning the workload, in conjunction with his supervisor.
- Responsible for accurate and real time back reporting of work performed and materials consumed (at the equipment level) in order to ensure the accuracy of customer communication and invoicing.
- Responsible for managing the proximity stock (shelving, inventory, stock transfer).
- Responsible for keeping the service tooling, van and instruments safe, maintained and in good condition.
- Contributes to the ongoing improvement of the products, the methods and the safety by feedback to his supervisor and quality department.
- Responsible for reporting possible near misses to his supervisor.
- Responsible for developing your competences through on-the-job training, learning from others and attending proposed trainings (e-learning, class room, onsite etc.)
- Responsible for highlighting any potential knowledge or competence gaps to supervisor and/or Technical Help Desk.
- Required to give training/coaching to persons nominated by the supervisor.
