Key Responsibilities & duties
1. Maintenance Operations Management:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations to ensure production lines run efficiently with minimal downtime.
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all equipment, machinery, and utilities.
- Coordinate and respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring quick resolution to avoid disruptions in production.
- Supervise maintenance activities for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other plant utilities.
2. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and mentor the maintenance team to enhance skills and performance.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with workplace safety protocols.
3. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the maintenance department’s budget, including tracking costs and ensuring spending aligns with financial goals.
- Procure spare parts, tools, and materials cost-effectively while maintaining adequate inventory levels.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvement to enhance plant efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices for equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
5. Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements (e.g., WHS, Building, Pressure vessel inspection and all MOM regulations).
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure maintenance activities align with food safety and quality standards.
6. Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, quality, and warehouse teams to address maintenance-related issues proactively.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services.
7. Safety:
- Responsible for the company's safety management and ensuring the company complies with relevant safety requirements in Singapore.
- Responsible for ensuring workplace safety, preventing accidents, and complying with relevant safety regulations. Their responsibilities include developing and implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, conducting safety training and drills, supervising the implementation of safety measures, investigating the causes of accidents and proposing improvement measures, and collaborating with other departments and external agencies to ensure workplace safety.
- Develop and update the company's safety policies, procedures and standards in accordance with Singapore's safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards. Implement and monitor safety measures.
- Organizing safety training and drills.
Requirement:
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in related field
- Experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety management.
- Having managerial role experience is an added advantage
- Experience in people management
- Experience in Risk Assessment and FMEA
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems required.
- Skilled in facilities management, including electrical troubleshooting, machineries repair and safety systems.
- Knowledge of ISO management standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and auditing processes.
- Experience conducting Risk Assessments and FMEA.
- Good spoken and written skills in English
- Minimally able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
