Reporting to: Managing Director

Job Objective:

  • Manage Finance Teams in Singapore and the Philippines. Around 40 employees.
  • Directs and ensures that operations of the Accounting/ Finance Department in Singapore and Manila comply with the company's procedures and applicable legislation. Manages the company's liquidity through expense control and diligent collection of funds from customers. Contributes to the company's sales efforts by ensuring KYC and profitability goals are met. Provides analyses of the financial results, operational costs and new investments, ensuring that the prescribed standards are achieved and maintained, thus contributing to and supporting the company's strategic decision-making.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Participates in the development of the Ship Management Centre's and THE COMPANY Groups short and long-term strategic objectives and goals by providing analytical reports concerning the Ship Management Centre's financial results, so as to enhance the alignment of the Ship Management Centre's operations with THE COMPANYs goals.
  2. Keeps abreast of national and international economic conditions and monitors developments and trends to act as an advisor to top management procedures and financial standards, as well as proposing improvements that will increase the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the Ship Management Centre's operations.
  3. Ensures proper KYC is documented, net profit goals are met and BIMCO payment terms are agreed and adhered to for new and existing business. Participates in meetings with key local clients directly. Provides necessary financial information and costing on THE COMPANY services, while contributing to the development of contracts, ensuring that their terms and conditions protect the interests of the Company and are in compliance with THE COMPANYs financial processes and standards.
  4. Ensures that all clients receive the financial statements, accounting reports and services invoices for their vessels according to the respective management contracts and handles the resolution of non-routine inquiries that may arise.
  5. Handles external relationships with financial institutions and local authorities, especially tax regarding financial matters.
  6. Liaises with external financial and tax auditors and maintains relationships with them, to ease the provision of all required information and contribute towards the accurate execution of audits. Monitors and follows up on the results of the audits, so as to protect the company's interests.
  7. Develops the budget of the Ship Management Centre as well as its periodical revisions and upon approval reviews its accurate implementation, as well as develops analytical management reporting, identifies potential discrepancies, provides reasoning of findings, and proposes solutions that will increase the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the Ship Management Centre.
  8. Provides financial support and guidance to the country's VAS, CSC and/or MTC units, to increase their compliance with THE COMPANY policies and procedures and enhance their effective and efficient operation.
  9. Ensures the timely and accurate provision of the consolidated, separate and ad-hoc reporting of financial results to Shareholders, Ship Management Centre and group management, in order to increase their awareness of the Ship Management Centre's financial performance.
  10. Reviews and improves the procedures and guidelines for the financial/accounting operation, to ensure smooth workflow in compliance with international and local financial and accounting standards and regulations and in accordance with THE COMPANY Policies.
  11. Coordinates and supervises all taxation aspects of the Ship Management Centre and liaises with local tax authorities to ensure the accurate and timely incorporation of all relevant activities. Ensures the accurate and timely provision of all the required tax returns and financial statements to local authorities (e.g. tax authorities, social security body, and municipality), to secure the compliance of the SHIP MANAGEMENT CENTRE with the local legislation.
  12. Ensures the most efficient cash management of the Ship Management Centre, to meet and support the effective operation of all departments. Oversees and approves the electronic purchasing orders raised by the Fleet Department and the LPSQ Department, in compliance with THE COMPANY policies and procedures.
  13. Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Ship Management Centre's accounting department and implements all required improvements, to comply with local rules and legislation and meet the standards of THE COMPANY.
  14. Coordinate with GSC and make sure all accountings activities outsourced to GSC are timely and accurately performed.
  15. Ensures proper monthly technical variance reports and cash position statements for vessels under Ship Management Centre's management are published and supervises the prompt settlement of all accounts related to the Ship Management Centre and/or to the Ship Management Centre -managed vessels, ensuring the smooth and unhindered operation of the company and the vessels.
  16. Coordinates, coaches, and motivates subordinates, through the appropriate training, development, management of performance and salary progression to ensure that staff have the appropriate knowledge, skills and support that will help them perform effectively and contribute to the achievement of the departments desired short and long-term objectives.

Education & Qualification:

  • University degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent
  • Professional accountant qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA)

Work Experience:

  • At least 10 years of Shore Experience with Ship Management or
  • At least 10 Years in Operations/Management of Ship Owning Business with International Exposure

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Hands-on experience of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability
  • Knowledge of the maritime legal framework e.g., employers obligations, recruitment prerequisites etc.
  • Advanced analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the local/regional maritime market conditions
  • Good people management skills
  • Fluency in English

What You'll Be Doing

  • Responsible for managing and delivering the statutory financial accounting and reporting for the Group, including the preparation of half-year and full year consolidated financial statements under IFRS on a timely basis
  • Liaise and collaborate closely with the auditors, legal counsels, tax, business and regional finance teams

What We Look For In You

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in preparing/managing/auditing complex group consolidation (i.e. subsidiary, associate, Joint venture, non-controlling interest) in Big 4 financial service audit or financial institution are desired
  • Experience in managing US IPO project or announcements to US stock exchanges is a must
  • Competent in IFRS/US GAAP
  • Degree in Accountancy or recognizable accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA and etc.)
  • Strong business acumen who can effectively navigate complex business environments and drive strategic decision-making and attentive to detail, and excellence in stakeholder management
  • Willing to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Oracle/Hyperion and data analytic tool is an advantage
  • Preferably has crypto knowledge
  • Proficiency in English as a working language and fluency in Mandarin, in order to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Finance Director to support and lead the financial planning and execution of our expansion strategy across the South East Asia region, including new acquisitions, clinic setups, and strategic partnerships. This role blends core financial management responsibilities with hands-on leadership in M&A deal sourcing, negotiation, and post-deal integration. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in healthcare finance and demonstrated experience in cross-border transactions and operational rollout.

Core Financial Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial performance analysis for clinical and administrative departments.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights to management team and recommend corrective actions where needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes and financial reporting.
  • Assist in developing business cases for capital investments, service line expansions, or cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to healthcare operations, such as cost per patient, payer mix, and revenue cycle metrics.


Strategic Finance & Business Growth:

  • Lead the financial planning and business case development for new clinic launches, greenfield projects, and expansion initiatives across South East Asia.
  • Partner with business development, clinical leadership, and operations to assess market viability and investment requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance of new ventures and clinics post-launch, driving accountability and operational optimization.


M&A Support Responsibilities:

  • Drive the full lifecycle of M&A transactions including deal sourcing, initial outreach, evaluation, negotiation, and execution.
  • Lead financial due diligence, working with cross-functional teams to assess target company performance, risks, and synergies.
  • Develop and manage detailed financial models, pro forma forecasts, and valuation analyses.
  • Lead or support negotiations with sellers, advisors, and regulatory bodies, particularly in key South East Asia markets.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to finalize deal structures, terms, and documentation.
  • Manage post-acquisition integration, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial performance targets.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MBA, MHA, or CPA preferred).
  • 4+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in a healthcare provider, hospital system, or healthcare services company.
  • At least 1–2 years of hands-on exposure to M&A activities (e.g., financial modeling, due diligence, integration support).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare financial drivers (payer contracts, reimbursement, operating margins).
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; familiarity with valuation techniques a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to clinical and non-financial stakeholders.
