Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with proven expertise in Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and network security technologies. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the enterprise network infrastructure with a strong focus on ACI fabric management, data center operations, and firewall administration. You will play a critical role in ensuring secure, high-performance connectivity across virtualized and physical environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, configure, and manage network devices in Data Center environments, including Application Center infrastructure.
- Configure the network settings and troubleshoot on the vSwitch or vDS, such as VLANs and IP addresses for optimal performance, and redundancy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, improving connectivity and operational reliability.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure smooth network operations and resolve application-related network issues, and to maintain comprehensive documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and security policies.
- Investigate issues thoroughly to identify the root cause and implement effective solutions and conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Develop and enforce network change management processes, implementing changes in a controlled and documented manner to avoid disruptions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and propose improvements to network architecture and security.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership during major incidents and projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
- Proven experience managing Cisco ACI fabric and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network routing and switching, Layer 2/3 protocols, and vPC configurations.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, and Fortinet firewalls.
- Experience working in virtualized environments, particularly with VMware ESXi.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex network and security issues.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including segmentation, ACLs, NAT and firewall policies.
- Familiarity with ITIL change management processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP (Data Center or Security) or CCIE preferred.
