About this role
This role is based in Singapore office. Our office is located conveniently in CBD area and easily accessible with any public transportation. You would find yourself in a multi-cultural and diverse environment.
The primary role of Librarian will be to manage both the Physical and Digital Material Resource Library, acting as a key contact point both internally with teams and externally with suppliers regarding material and product information.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with all suppliers in obtaining technical data/pricing information, new product information and samples
Arranging of supplier presentations to the studio
Fielding material sample requests on behalf of design teams. This is split between special requests for obscure and/or difficult to obtain materials, requiring research on the internet, as well as regular material sampling for control boards.
Updating the physical and digital library with new samples and information
Material Control Board preparation
Presentation material board preparation
Tracking of limited materials with designers (guardian of materials)
General filing/organization of physical library; ensuring library associated supplies and equipment are maintained, samples are clean/tidy and updated, utilizing the junior design/intern staff as support in a coordinated manner.
Special Projects
Responsible for the establishment and development of HBA’s new Digital Resource Library, working in tandem with the Digital Director and team.
Educating design teams in using the Digital Resource Library.
Mentoring/educating junior designers/interns on materials and resources.

The Librarian will establish and lead in the strategic development and delivery of an enlarged effective Systematic Search Services (SSS) which will support faculty and researchers for not only LKCMedicine but also our healthcare partners and University. This valued service will help faculty and researchers develop high quality search methodologies for their publications and which in turn contributes to the overall quality of their scholarly communications.
