What you will be working on:

• Manage daily operations and functions for the procurement of library materials in accordance with approved policies and guidelines as well as the terms and conditions in the contracts for the sourcing and supply of library materials
• Oversee the management of appointed vendors for the supply of purchased library materials
• Manage contracts for the supply of library materials with appointed vendors
• Develop strategic working relationships with appointed vendors
• Perform data analytics activities to analyse performance indicators and trends for procurement of library materials and regulatory services.
• Supervise and guide staff on handling vendors’ and publishers’ enquiries and feedback
• Manage daily operations for regulatory services
• Develop close working relationship with International Standard Number Centres and national agencies from other countries
• Lead process improvement initiatives and participate in cross functional projects
• Co-front participation in regular internal and external audits

What we are looking for:

• Preferably with 2 years of relevant experience in an acquisition, procurement or operations role
• Strong data analytics skills with experience in statistics analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel and QlikSense
• Familiar with government procurement processes is advantageous

About the Role:

NUS Libraries invites applications for the position of Research Librarian - Law (Assistant Librarian / Librarian / Senior Librarian/Principal Librarian). This position will be part of Education, Research and Enterprise Partnership Cluster which aims to drive innovative services for influential research, quality education and visionary enterprise.

To provide dedicated research support and specialized library services to the Faculty of Law at NUS, enhancing legal research capabilities, supporting curriculum delivery, and ensuring access to a robust and relevant legal collection, the Law Librarian will play a key role in developing and teaching legal research programs, offering customized research consultations, and fostering interdisciplinary initiatives that align with NUS Libraries’ mission to drive impactful research and quality education.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and build partnerships with NUS Faculty of Law to provide library programmes and services
• Develop, implement and assess and manage the legal research programmes including teaching the legal research component of the Year 1 legal research and writing course, advanced legal research in Upper Year or graduate research tutorials.
• Provide customized research consultations, workshops and talks for different user groups
• Develop and implement new interdisciplinary or library wide programmes and services
• Develop and maintain a robust and relevant legal collection to meet the teaching and research needs of NUS
• Create and update learning resources such as library research guides and digital learning objects to accelerate self-directed learning
• Establish partnership with stakeholders to deliver library programmes in curriculum and research in innovative ways such as incorporating existing and emerging technology and tools in teaching and learning
• Strong understanding of research matters such as open access, publishing trends, and research visibility and impact in the context of higher education
• Keep abreast of trends and developments by participating in professional development activities and contributing to librarianship through writing and presenting on various platforms
• Work together with colleagues from other library clusters to drive cross-cluster collaborations and projects to enhance library services, innovation, knowledge transfer for impact
• Lead / Contribute to the strategic growth and development of NUS Libraries' services, spaces and collection

• Degree in Law (L.L.B. or J.D) is required.
• Postgraduate Degree in Library and Information Science/Management is preferred but not essential.
• Proven ability to design, deliver and evaluate library programmes for individuals and groups at different levels.
• Advanced knowledge of major legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw and multidisciplinary academic databases.
• Strong understanding of the legal research process and effective use of print and electronic sources of law.
• Prior experience in an academic library or research setting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with performing legal research in an academic, court, or law firm setting is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
• An enthusiastic team player with a genuine interest in law librarianship.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, library users and other stakeholders.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in working with a diverse team of staff in a dynamic environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented senior/lead research engineer to join our team in the area of continuous variable (CV) and discrete variable (DV) hybrid quantum information processing. The successful candidate will join the Quantum Sensing and Metrology (QSM) Pillar of the A*STAR Quantum Innovation Centre (Q.InC). The successful candidate will also have opportunities to participate in international collaborative research.

Key responsibilities:

· Design and develop hybrid CV-DV quantum protocols, including the generation of CV-DV hybrid entanglement.

· Conduct experimental and/or theoretical research in squeezed light, entangled photons, and CV-DV hybrid quantum states.

· Collaborate with international collaborators.

· Development of ultra fast squeezed light.

· Publish research results in journals and contribute to reporting.

Requirements:

· PhD, Bachelor or Master in physics, quantum optics, or related disciplines with at least 8 years of experience.

· Background in either CV or DV quantum optics platforms.

· Familiarity with quantum optics experiment such as squeezed light, spontaneous parametric down conversion, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

Core IT Support (40%)

• Provide Tier 1-2 desktop support: Hardware / OS troubleshooting (Windows 10 / 11), M365 suite, network / printer issues, and video conferencing systems.
• Manage user lifecycle: Onboarding / offboarding, account provisioning (Active Directory / Azure AD), access controls, and software deployment.
• Maintain IT asset inventory (hardware, peripherals, software licenses) and resolve tickets via ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

• Manage software subscriptions, licensing, and vendor deployments.

Data & Compliance:

• Create Power BI dashboards for operational metrics (ticket trends, asset utilization).

• Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
