The role
We are looking for a driven and passionate individual to join our team in Singapore, where you will play a pivotal cross-functional role spanning scouting, residency, and portfolio management. Your primary focus will be on sourcing and nurturing exceptional founders to join and succeed in Antler’s ecosystem. This includes identifying high-potential founders, building strong relationships, and guiding them through the earliest stages of their entrepreneurial journeys.
You will work closely with founders during the Antler residency, supporting them as they develop their ideas into scalable startups. Additionally, you’ll contribute to conducting due diligence on startups, assessing their investment potential, and supporting the growth and success of our portfolio companies.
Main responsibilities
- Identify, attract, and build strong relationships with high-potential founders across Southeast Asia, managing outreach campaigns, founder interviews, and pipeline tracking.
- Work closely with founders during the Antler residency, helping them refine ideas, form teams, and prepare for the investment committee.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective startups, analyze their business models and markets, and prepare investment recommendations for decision-making
- Support the growth and fundraising efforts of existing portfolio companies by collaborating with senior investment team members on operational and strategic initiatives
You have several years of work experience and a strong track-record in the startup ecosystem, either as startup founder, or in the VC sector.

Position Description
The Investment Director is an integral position within the Real Assets Investment Group. As part of a highly collaborative global investment team, this position will focus on five primary responsibilities: 1) identifying, evaluating, and monitoring high-quality private and public investment managers, 2) researching and opining on real assets trends, 3) serving as a resource to the portfolio management team; 4) sourcing and executing co-investment and secondary transactions; and 5) supporting colleagues and clients on sector related matters and opportunities. In addition to covering Real Assets, the Investment Director may, as needed, contribute a portion of their time to Credit research. This position is based in Singapore.
Principal Duties
Lead investment due diligence on investment opportunities, inclusive of analyzing a manager’s organization, investment strategy, performance, terms, current portfolio positions, and other key attributes. Co-lead in-person meetings, often onsite, and conduct reference calls with industry participants. In partnership with the team’s Asset Class Heads, develop the house opinion on investment opportunities.
Complete written assessments and recommendations utilized by our clients and colleagues to support investment decisions. For funds, this includes detailed diligence reports backed by meetings, factual analyses and references; and for the market, this entails periodic research reports on current topics of interest. Act as a point of contact for investment managers as required. Manage workflow of information to the team.
Source new investment opportunities by leveraging existing industry relationships, building new relationships, and identifying other creative sourcing channels in collaboration with the broader team.
Monitor market trends and contribute to CA’s thought leadership in this area.
Actively monitor and evaluate managers on an ongoing basis.
Present at a variety of internal meetings, investment research committee discussions, and marketing presentations.
