The Role – Assistant Finance Manager
Will be an integral part of the Finance Team and work closely with key stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for the Fund Management entities. This is a hands‐on AFM role reporting to an experienced Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all accounting and tax functions relating to the Fund Management entities (both Singapore and overseas).
Record all accounting transactions and prepare financial reports related to budgets and actuals for management and board.
Process payments and claims, administer bank accounts, monitor liquidity and cash flow.
Work with tax agents/advisors to ensure local tax filings are met. This includes, and not limited to VAT / GST filings, tax incentive applications, annual declarations, corporate income tax filings, etc.
Liaising with external auditors to resolve accounting issues and coordinate audit process.
Assist with shareholder reporting for e.g. review consolidation workings (ie. consolidation journal entries, cash flows etc), update reporting package in Hyperion.
Liaise with the external corporate secretary for resolutions and filings.
Support the Finance Manager in building up operating policies and procedures, including digitalisation of workflows, etc.
Work closely with the Executive Assistant to ensure accurate and timely validation of billings for related office spend for e.g. IT Managed Service Provider, corporate mobile, purchase of hardware and software, etc.
Any other ad‐hoc projects as assigned from time to time.
Experience and Qualifications
A CP/CPA/ACCA qualified professional with a Bachelor degree in accounting
5 – 11 years of experience in accounting covering month‐end close, financial reporting, budgeting, tax and audit etc.
Exposure in the financial services (including fund management, investments, etc) is not required
Technically strong on IFRS
Prior audit experience preferred (but this is not a must)
Familiarity with NetSuite and Concur would be a plus (but not a must)

You will be managing the contracts and monitor the provision of service to ensure compliance with contracts and service agreements.
You will be benchmarking of portfolio and asset performance including financial/operational analysis and market research, preparing monthly asset reports, quarterly investor reports, and also approval papers as and when required. In this capacity, you will also be building, developing, updating financial models for portfolio valuation and analysis. You will perform scenarios and sensitivity analysis on portfolio returns, assist in negotiation of leases and discussion with tenants and respective government bodies etc.
Requirements
You are degree qualified in Real Estate, Business, Accountancy, Engineering, Architecture and have about 2 years’ experience in asset management and dealing with international stakeholders.
