The Field Services Engineer/Senior Engineer shall be responsible to perform a range of onsite services and with the ability to lead the service technicians and manage projects when required. He is expected to perform the technical support services including the 24x7 standby on a rotational basis.
Job Responsibilities
Manage projects and lead a small team of service technician to perform end to end onsite services.
Perform installation, testing and commissioning, live cutover to site acceptance testing.
Perform maintenance and support services including attending call-outs when activated.
Conduct training for customer and internally to the service technicians in improving their skills and knowledge.
Conduct site assessment, generate proposal and cost sheet.
Coordinate with customer and perform time & materials services or any ad hoc services upon instruction from Supervisor.
Perform standby duties 24x7 when required.
Job Requirements
Diploma/ Degree in engineering or relevant discipline.
Experiences in DC Rectifier, UPS, Batteries, Cooling, Electrical switchboards and Busways at Data Centres, Telecommunications, Building Facilities.
Minimum 5 years experiences in Testing & Commissioning, Site Acceptance Testing.
Ability to read single-line and schematic diagrams.
Able to perform and multi-task in a stressful environment to meet tight deadlines.
Pro-active, a Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good project management skills
Possess IT networking knowledge
Possess Class 3/ 3A driving license

**Essential Responsibilities**
· Pre-commission, commission, and service static frequency converters (SFC) and variable frequency (VFD) low voltage and medium voltage drives/switchgear/transformers and power systems.
· Provide technical assistance and supervision to customers on the installations.
· Conduct on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction.
· Provide management with complete and prompt information and report regarding safety & project/service status, customer or equipment problems, and failures,
· Provide technical assistance through on-site guidance and training in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned programs and ground support equipment.
· Provide and assist quality team with root cause analysis and generate reports in case of equipment malfunction or failures to identify/analyse any undesirable trends.
· Complete site documentations such as weekly safety update, installations check lists, pre-commissioning, and commissioning procedures.
· Hands-on on-site parts replacement, testing, and verification of electrical equipment.
· Adhere with company Health and Safety policies and work in safe and best practice manner to ensure the wellbeing of personnel and equipment are not compromised.
· Able to interface at upper management and peers levels of the organization both internally and externally in clear and methodical manner
**Qualification/Requirements**
· Electrical engineering bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited university or college
· Solid understanding of Power Electronics, Electric Circuit, Electric Power Systems, Medium Voltage, Harmonics, with good hands-on skill.
· Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers. Good literacy in at least one computer programming language.
· Hands-on experience and knowledge of test instruments (recorders, power analysers, oscilloscopes, Insulation resistance, HI pot etc.)
· Comfortable to sail on marine vessels if needed and remain offshore for defined number of days.
· Willing to travel including distant in-country or aboard limited duration visits and with short notice in advance
· Good understanding of Health and Safety, and risks / Hazards involved.

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for driving Leica's field service operations forward through the Danaher Business System, focusing on continuous improvement of operational metrics, optimization of resources, and team support.
