We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical power systems for various applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to read customized power generator controls circuit with PLC programming, Networking, HMI and switchgear layout.
- Provide assistance to Sales Engineers in technical specification and attend technical meetings at customer sites with sales teams.
- Coordinate with customers for technical issues to meet customer technical requirements.
- Able to support and troubleshoot control issues through phone and email remotely.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers and Superintendents on site commissioning.
- Handle factory internal testing in the workshop.
- Handle Factory Acceptance Tests in workshops in the presence of customers.
- Coordinate with customers for technical issues to meet customer technical requirements.
- Able to support and troubleshoot programming issues through remote internet/computer devices.
- Monitor projects through completion, providing corrections, modifications or assistance to other departments as needed.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering including power engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in either power generation controls and/or electrical switchgear or automation control between 400V to 15kV.
- Proven experience with low-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear design, control panel development, and power system studies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, E3, or other CAD tools.
- Experience in PLC and HMI (touchscreen and/or IPC) programming.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plans, drawings, prints or similar job write-up.
- Good knowledge in design of diesel and gas engine generator control interface with PLC control logic programming.
- Knowledge in network communication interfacing and SCADA is a plus.
- Willingness to travel overseas as frequent global site visits are expected.
