KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for multiple Electrical Engineers to support a major upcoming offshore oil and gas project and we are currently building our powerhouse engineering team. These roles are an opportunity to be part of a high-impact project that will shape the future of energy infrastructure.
We are looking for Mid-to-Senior Level Electrical Engineers with established competence in offshore facilities especially FPSO's to join KBR for a career defining role in one of the largest Offshore Energy Projects in the region. The Electrical Engineers will lead and contribute to the full lifecycle of electrical systems from concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, Early Engineering design through to Detailed Engineering.
Responsibilities:
+ Ensure technical integrity and compliance with international standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with process, instrumentation, mechanical, and safety teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
+ Drive innovation and continuous improvement in electrical design, energy efficiency, and system reliability
+ Support vendor selection and technical bid evaluations, ensuring optimal solutions for project delivery
+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team
+ Engage with clients, partners, and classification societies to align technical requirements and project milestones
Qualifications:
Mid-Level Electrical Engineers
+ 7+ years of experience in electrical design for offshore oil & gas facilities
+ Strong understanding of MV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, and distribution networks
+ Experience with SmartPlant/SPEL or similar engineering databases
+ Familiarity with global electrical codes and standards (IEC, BSI, etc.)
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Senior/Lead Electrical Engineers
+ 15-20+ years of experience with offshore electrical systems, including FPSO projects
+ Leadership in managing design teams and overseeing full-scope electrical engineering
+ Expertise in MV (11kV) and LV (690/400V) systems, power management, and VFDs
+ Proven track record in technical bid evaluations and package integration
+ Deep knowledge of compliance, assessment studies, and regulatory standards
