About The Role
As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates; one of your main focuses will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team. A typical day is varied, including everything from routine team management and daily operational responsibilities to process improvements and wide-scale operational contingency tasks. You’ll also be a role model and mentor to new managers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of employee and performance management experience

- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership

- Design, develop, deploy and continuously improve ETL tasks and be involved in data preparation for descriptive and prescriptive modelling.
- Design and develop data pipelines for data modelling, mining and production.
- Ensure data architecture is in place to support routine and ad-hoc requirements of data analytics team, stakeholders and the business.
- Leverage on variety of programming languages and data crawling/processing tools to make raw data clean and highly available for use in descriptive and predictive modelling.
- Ensure data assets and data catalogs are organized and stored in an efficient way.
- Perform PL/SQL and SQL tuning and optimization of newly develop and existing applications.
Requirements:
- min. 3 years' working experience in data architecture, data warehousing, data processing, data modelling and ETL/ELT, familiarity with real-time streaming solutions.
- Working experience in database development for OracleSQL/PLSQL
- Working experience in AWS cloud environment, familiar with solutions such as EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Kinesis
- Skills in Python, R, SQL for data cleaning, processing and aggregation
- Hands-on experience in data crawling, data modelling, data lake formation and data warehouse construction
