Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments (2012–2022) based on existing configurations.
- Perform SQL Server upgrades and migrations following established plans.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly backup operations using Veeam Backup & Replication (v10+).
- Operate and monitor enterprise NAS storage systems (Dell EMC Isilon preferred, other platforms welcome).
- Handle backup tape rotation, inventory tracking, and offsite transfers per policy.
- Execute restores and validate backup integrity through regular recovery testing.
- Monitor backup and storage jobs, troubleshoot failures, and escalate complex issues when required.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of backup schedules, storage usage, and recovery procedures.
- Create and maintain basic automation scripts (PowerShell, T-SQL, CMD) to streamline tasks.
