We are looking for a dedicated Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join our surgical team as a Nurse Clinician. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care during orthopaedic procedures, working closely with surgeons and the perioperative team.
As a Nurse Clinician, you’ll coordinate and evaluate patient care to ensure safe, efficient, and effective treatment. This role requires strong clinical expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to nursing excellence.
Job Responsibilities:- Prepare the operating room, ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and in optimal condition.
- Assist the surgical team by anticipating the needs of the surgeon and providing appropriate instruments and materials during procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor and account for all surgical instruments and materials used during the procedure, ensuring accurate counts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and surgical outcomes.
- Support patients pre- and post-operatively, offering reassurance and professional care.
- Keep up to date with best practices, guidelines, and advancements in orthopaedic surgery and surgical nursing.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or EN qualification with a validSingapore nursing license.
- Scrub experience in orthopaedic surgery or a willingness to undertake specialist training.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and theatre protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The jobholder is Responsible for the evaluation, coordination, implementation and maintenance of designated projects and systems, which enhances the organizational function of Nursing Services and promotes efficiency in nursing practices and safe resident care.
- Develop the nursing information management system along resident's journey in our nursing home settings.
- Assist/lead the development of clinical workflows and SOPs with best practices in mind. Serves as trainer and mentor as the team grows.
- Lead all clinical staff across the nursing home system in the specialty area of nursing informatics.
- Attend IT and / or workgroup meetings as designated and report assigned project status as appropriate.

- Lead in reporting hardware, software, and password related issues to the IT team following the established escalation process and update the end - users of the status.
