Job DescriptionThe Endoscopy Nurse is responsible for preparing procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functional, and receiving and assessing patients prior to procedures. You will support physicians and anaesthetists during procedures as needed, monitor patients immediately post-procedure for vital signs, airway, and consciousness levels, and communicate effectively with the clinical team regarding patient status. Your duties will also include ensuring smooth patient handover or discharge after recovery.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must possess strong clinical assessment, observation, and teamwork skills. A Registered Nurse with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) license and a Diploma or Degree in Nursing are essential requirements. Good communication and patient-service orientation are also crucial.
Prior experience in Endoscopy / Operating Theatre / Day Surgery, BCLS and ACLS certifications are preferred but not necessary.
