Job Description
Responsibilities:
- To manage, direct and co-ordinate ship repair / conversion / new building activities as Project Leader and to ensure that all operations carried out conform to high safety standards and meets customers’ expectations.
- Lead & manage project team, supervise execution of production works, ensure delivery of assigned projects.
- Plans and prioritise the order of works and work methodology.
- Coordinates with the project team to allocate adequate manpower and equipment resources.
- Monitors work progress on board vessels and in workshops.
- Coordinates in production meetings between all stake holders & project teams to clarify work scope, co-ordinate sequence of work, update schedules and other contractual matters.
- Ensures works are carried out according to the job specifications
- Generates commissioning / mechanical completion test plans and arranging for inspection and survey for the Superintendents and Classification.
- Administer and ensure all operations conform to safety requirements & policy of the yard
- Performs as shipyard's main representative and be responsible for the refit/ conversion / new build of projects.
- Builds good rapport and relationship with shipowners, representatives, clients & all stake holders.
- Prepares project specifications & Incorporate any changes in the work scope in defect list
- Prepares for quotation for work variations and facilitate billing as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, in Marine & Offshore/ Naval Architecture/ Mechanical or equivalent.
- Knowledge of project management, Cost Budgeting, MS Office, AutoCAD.
- Minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience in the Marine Industry.
- Proficient in EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning)
- Able to work under stress environment and within tight deadlines
- Understand offshore knowledge and related commercial matters

As a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager, he/she is expected to coordinate, develop and implement project plan. He/she has to allocate and manage project resources according to the approved plan. Job Specifications/Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Architecture / Civil / Structural / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of working experience in related industry with relevant site experience.
- Must have working experience in Additions & Alterations (A&A) works in commercial building upgrading project.
- Must have comprehension for written or verbal graphic instructions.
- Must possess good troubleshooting skills and excellent problem solving skills.
- Must be a good monitor and decision maker.
- Good team player and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and under pressure.
- Must be self-motivated.
