We are seeking an experienced researcher with expertise in transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to join our research team, focusing on the morphological characterization of biological samples.
This role is part of our broader mechanobiology research program, which investigates how cells and tissues adapt and change in response to aging and their physical microenvironment.
The position offers an excellent opportunity to apply and expand TEM expertise in a collaborative research environment, contributing to high-resolution studies of mechanobiology, aging, and cell–microenvironment interactions.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare biological samples for TEM, including fixation, staining, sectioning, embedding, and mounting.
- Perform TEM imaging and support data acquisition and basic image analysis.
- Maintain clear records of sample preparation protocols, imaging parameters, and results.
- Share knowledge and provide guidance on sample preparation and imaging workflows as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to integrate TEM findings into broader research studies.
- Assist in training and supporting junior researchers in TEM techniques.
- PhD in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biophysics, or a related life science discipline.
- Practical experience in TEM sample preparation and imaging of biological specimens.
- Familiarity with eukaryotic cell culture and standard cell biology techniques.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Evidence of research contributions through publications or presentations.
- (Preferred) Experience in a core imaging facility or collaborative research setting.
- (Preferred) Familiarity with TEM protocols for mammalian and other eukaryotic biological samples.

Job Requirements
PhD in biophysics, soft matter physics, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related fields.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in experimental techniques (e.g., microscopy, microfluidics, rheology) OR simulation methods (molecular dynamics, agent-based).
Strong soft skills, including visualization and presentation abilities.
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
