- Demonstrated success in securing competitive national or international research grants
- Strong publication record in high-impact peer-reviewed journals
- Proven leadership in building and directing multidisciplinary research teams, developing institutional research capacity, and shaping strategic research agendas
- Proven leadership in supervising PhD/Masters students and managing research teams
- Ability to attract or engage with industry collaborators is highly desirable
- Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
