You will also educate pet owners on proper animal care and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic or hospital through effective administrative support.

This hands-on position requires a minimum of 2 years prior experience in the industry and an excellent work ethic.

• Receive, register, and triage patients.
• Perform clinical skills such as phlebotomy, endotracheal intubation, intravenous and urinary catheterisation.
• Have knowledge of general animal diseases and treatments.
• Administer treatments under veterinary supervision.
• Use various medical equipment, including anaesthetic machines, ventilators, and patient monitors.
• Assist with patient examinations, surgeries, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, and field procedures.
• Assist with animal restraint.
• Perform basic laboratory duties.
• Care for hospitalized patients, including ward husbandry duties like setup, feeding, cleaning, and monitoring.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the hospital.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including sourcing and ordering drugs.
• Maintain and service medical equipment.
• Keep accurate clinical records and inventory.
• Follow SOPs and safe work procedures.
• Commit to professional development and continuous learning in veterinary nursing.

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing/Technology, Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of veterinary nursing experience with clinical skills competency.
• Experience in wildlife and/or exotics is advantageous.
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Comfortable working outdoors.
• Possession of Class 3/3A licenses is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
